Hotel Ambasador - Liburnia

I was here one night. Villa Ambasador is a 4star hotel connected with a 50m long inside corridor with 5star hotel Ambasador. They share same reception desk, restaurants, bars, swimming pools, parking lot etc. Kind and helpful staff. Fast and reliable free wifi. I had a room with a private balcony above the sea (3rd floor). Nice, and inspiring open view. You can feel the power od the sea (it was a windy day) from your own place, noone can disturb you, amazing. For a 5star hotel I expected bigger choice of food for breakfast.

Stayed with a couple of friends for 2 days. The hotel is adjusant to the big Ambasador who provides all services (food, SPA...) and leaves to Villa remote from the noice of a big hotel. Breakfast was very good with a big variety of food, the same was the dinner buffet. SPA was also great providing pool, jacuzzi, , Finnish and Turkish sauna at no cost. Took also a massage which was very good reaonably priced.

We stayed 1 week in the villa , our room was clean and bigger than the average room ..the view was amazing ...the ladies from the welness are very good , compliments, the breakfast and dinner is a buffet but OMG so many choices...all fresh!! and tastefull...the crew of the kitchen , compliments !! The restaurant is big but also here the crew is very nice , friendly and polite...compliments....we love the cabanas in the garden.. Things we don 't like but it is a issue in every hotel... People are putting their towels on a bed ..(.leave for many hours )....6 in the morning , if you want to have a bed you must do the same., which i hate....wake up at 5.30 to get a bed...it is a holiday...they must make new rules and follow them ...and a lot of stairs..if you are disabled, you can reach the pool but not the sea. Would i come back ??? Oooh YES ...I love the villa , the crew , the food, welness, rooms and the hotel is clean.

A modern clean hotel with friendly staff, excellent buffet food for breakfast and evening meals, great choice and good quality. Drinks prices pretty reasonable for a hotel in a popular tourist location. Pool was wonderful albeit with sun beds that are not the most comfortable and towel reservation of beds was very active, most ‘reserved’ by 09:00. Fantastic location with a private beach area, the sea gloriously refreshing to swim in. The 12km promenade (the Lungomere) wonderful to stroll along. Hotel rooms reasonably spacious with comfortable beds. Overall a very good hotel, would be very happy to return and would recommend

This was our third and last hotel during our stay in Croatia (Istria and Krk), but unfortunately not the best. Let me begin this review by giving some positive feedback: - we had a room with a balcony and seaview. The view was just stunning, and the balcony a nice place to sit and watch over the sea. - the bed was good, as was the room itself (not taking about the bathroom, more about that later) - the breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice, eggs made à la minute, fresh produce... loved it! - if you found yourself a good spot by the sea on the beach, you could enjoy the scenery - personnel was friendly - you eat very good at Cubo, the fine dining restaurant. Very very good even (but there are other issues there) Now, why do I state that the Ambasador is not a 5-star hotel, although it is rated as a 5-star hotel? Well, there are some clear issues: a lack of oversight, no managerial direction, and no taking responsability. I'll give some examples: - by the poolside and at the beach it is clearly stated that smoking is forbidden. Everyone who wanted to smoke, smoked. Staff even handed out lighters and ashtrays. If you have rules, enforce them. - the sun loungers at the pool and at the beach had a tag that stated that seat reservation was not allowed. At 7am there were already hotel guests putting down towels to reserve seats. In the weekend this meant that by 8.30 half of the seats was already taken, whilst no one was on them. If you have rules, enforce them. - at breakfast, dirty plates were quickly taken away, but then lingered on carts in the middle of the breakfast area. In a proper 5star hotel, plates are immediately taken away to the kitchen to be washed. - we had a reservation at Cubo, the fine dining restaurant for our final night. We already had to come back 45min later because nobody of the staff (because there is no oversight by a maitre d') cared to check the reservations and there was no table for us or called ahead (they knew our room number) to say we could come a bit later. If you have a proper maitre d'h (which a fine dining restaurant should have), this would be taken care of. - And there were 2 big tables (5-6 people each) who where screaming, doing loud video calls, walking back and forth ... If you are a fine dining restaurant (not my words, those are the words of the hotel/restaurant itself) with a price tag that goes with fine dining, this is behaviour which you can simply not put up with and staff should intervene. Btw, the food itself is excellent at Cubo, they received 14/20 in Gault Millau and for the food that is well deserved. - the menus at the lunch restaurant: we had lunch 2 times by the pool side (the garden restaurant was closed - we don't know why). The menu was full of mistakes. E.g. one of the dishes promised grilled bell peppers and courgettes. There were no courgettes to be found on the plate, and the peppers weren't grilled. Another said that it came with burrata. Again, no burrata, but something that

We only stayed one night at Hotel Ambassador, but we made full use of the hotel's outdoor pool and private deck on the edge of the sea - there is easy access to the water and plenty of loungers and deck chairs in both areas. Our room was comfortable, good shower (although minus points for providing silly little toiletry bottles) and great aircon. Included breakfast in the morning was a substantial buffet that had pretty much anything you could want. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful, we would definitely come back if we were in the area again!

The hotel is pleasant up to the point. For a 5 stars hotel it would need some adjustments . The receptionists were very friendly and tried their hardest to make us happy after they were unable to get high floor rooms based on our booking request.The valet parking service is fantastic. The breakfast buffet offers a wide choice of delicious fresh food & freshly baked dessert. Staff is highly professional and courteous. The rooms are nice , with adequate amenities. The beachside restaurant is excellent, serving fresh and delicious meals with friendly service. The food at the beach casual restaurant is also very good ; Greek salad cone is on another level and is very tasty . Despite our dissatisfaction with the loungers’ availibitly it is nicely located hotel with access to the longomare for a pleasant morning walk. Will come back.

I want to express our dissatisfaction with the beach seating area. I am aware that the hotel is completely fully booked and that there aren't enough seats for everyone, but I find it incomprehensible that some of the guests are permitted to reserve their seats well in advance and then fail to show up for three or four hours later. There should be a five-star system that safeguards hotel residents' rights when you pay to stay in this hotel . A suitable system ought to be in place alerting those who reserve tickets but fail to show up!

My girlfriend and I had an amazing holiday at the ambassador hotel. We were met with extreme professionalism and felt absolutely seen by the staff at the hotel. We had an issue with the aircondition at our room, and were immediately upgraded to a bigger room with the most amazing view! Every staff member were polite and helpful, and notices slight discomfort before the guest even notices themselves. The location was absolutely perfect and best of all - Mosquito free! The food was amazing. We've been traveling trough Europe and this was our 6th hotel on our journey so far, and without a doubt the best experience so far! Nothing short of amazing! Highly recommended
