My husband and were booked in the Springbok Campsite for 3 nights, we had one of the best stays here whilst on our 16night tour of Namibia, only wished we had come for 26nights as there is so much to do. This was the back end of our holiday and have to stay from the start to the end we were not disappointed. To be greated on arrival by a friendly staff member with a tray of rolled up cool refreshing face cloth to the easiness of booking 3 drives, one morning local drive and two Etosha game drives, one AM and one PM. WOW we had the best driver for all 3 drives, Nico was very friendly and very knowledgeable. The 1st night we chilled by the pool and watched giraffes come to the water hole right by the pool. The next morning was our 1st AM drive into Etosha we saw Black faced Impala, Springbok, Steenbok,Gnu, Kudud, Zebras and Giraffes. We spotted a black rino way in the distance, came out better on the photo then expected. We came across a femal cheetah with her cub chilling in the shade and elephants stomping through the bush. We returned to the campsite and watched zebras come to the waterhole by the swimming pool. We had a meal at the restuarant that night, food was delicious, staff were very friendly. The next day we did the local morning drive Onguma Park, We saw elephants, male lion, cheetahs and watched a lioness hunting a dik-dik antelope. What a brilliant 4hour drive. We had the Etosha PM drive and experienced a thunderstorm that lasted 20mins. All the animals seemed to have got a spring in their step as we saw alot in the rest of our trip. Cheetah and cub feeding on their kill, hyena and her cub and all the other usual animals too. Would definitely recommend this place as it was everything needed and more to end our fab 1st ever holiday in Namibia. The ablutions were very private for the campsite and were kept very clean. We left a few items knowing we would not be needing them as we were heading home. The reception rang us to tell us we had left them.
