Ngorongoro Oldeani Mountain Lodge

We stayed at the Oldeani for 2 nights to have a day in the Ngorongoro Crater on our way to the Serengeti. We found it to be a relaxing oasis of luxury nestled within 30 minutes of the crater. As we found all over Tanzania, the staff were all so happy, chatty and welcoming, making us feel at home. And after a full days safari on bumpy roads, relaxing in or by the pool with drink and a book is greatly received. The rooms are extremely spacious with massive beds. Our room had a free standing roll top bath plus two showers, one indoors and one outdoors. I believe this is the same for all rooms. Make sure not to eat before coming here because the food is plentiful and you won’t want to refuse any courses. We were given a full 3 course lunch on our first day’s arrival. Food as we found all over Tanzania was once again appearing to all be freshly made and nothing processed

We are in awe. At the beginning of our honeymoon we visited Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Tarangire National park. For our stay we chose the Oldeani Mountain Lodge and I would recommend anyone to do the same. We were incredibly lucky as the place is the definition of peace and relaxation and is the perfect spot to chill after a long game drive day. They didn't spare any luxury for the rooms or any other area in the lodge. Everything was impeccably clean, and the food was out of this world made from the best quality local produce. If we are ever again lucky enough to find ourselves in this area, we will look no further and come straight back to the place that made us so happy. Finally, but most importantly, we must mention the amazing staff. I'm coming from Greece and if we know one thing, that's tourism. It must be said that the level of hospitality that we found at the Oldeani Mountain Lodge is purely unmatched. My wife had her birthday on our second day, and they did everything they could to make it as special as possible for her. We would therefore like to say a very special thank you to Rehema and Anthony that oversaw our visit, as well as the rest of the staff for this incredible experience. Lovely hotel a short distance from Ngorogoro. We were greeted with a lovely warm welcome. A smooth check in process then taken to our lovely rooms. Rooms had comfortable beds and a lovely warm outdoor shower. Nightly turn down service was fab. Food was lovely, our wonderful waitress Marcella attended to our every need :)
