OceanBlue Resort

What a little gem. Small boutique hotel with 3 stars. Spotlessly clean with simple but tasteful decoration with a lot of local art on display. Off the beaten track but everywhere is accessible by bus or taxi. The food in the restaurant is excellent; free tea and coffee all day was a real bonus. The staff deserve a truly special mention. Friendly, efficient, polite and considerate. If you want nightlife on your doorstep and instant access to the beach this isn’t for you. If you want calm relaxation in a wonderful setting, then this is your hotel.

This is a great place to stay if you are looking for peace and quiet. If you want to be in the middle of action -- this is not it. The rooms are simple but clean. The staff is fantastic. The grounds are well maintained. It is not far from lots of restaurants and services, however, we found there could be a fair amount of traffic to get to those. But, we did not mind spending most of our time at the hotel grounds. So glad I found this place. I would stay here again if I went to Barbados.

This little jewel of a hotel sits nestled against the South coast of the incredible island of Barbados. We were greeted with warm smiles and brought to a simple, clean room with an enormous bed and a deck with spectacular views of the Atlantic ocean. The resort is just about ten minutes away from Oistins by car on some rather bouncy roads, and it is a fantastic place to be able to get to most places on the island. The menu was in the process of being upgraded, but the food was excellent. We were there for Barbados' Independence Day and the menu at the resort gave a wonderful taste of the island. Ocean Blue promises peace and quiet. It promises to feed your soul. With no television and no children (for safety reasons), it did just that. By the end of the first week we were familiar with our environment and happily adventuring about Barbados in our little hire car. At the end of our island adventure we felt as though we could live there forever! The staff were friends and every smile was joyful. If peace and quiet, and adventuring are your thing, a stay at Ocean Blue Resort is a definite. The only hiccup we had was the local roosters who had no sense of time, but even that made us laugh and became part of the island adventure. Thank you to all at Ocean Blue for making us welcome.

This hotel is just delightful! It is a definitely quiet, 'get away from it all' holiday as there are no TVs in the rooms, no kids and it is 10 mins from town/Oistins. We used the white mini bus 'system' very successfully (got on/off at the rear of Buffy's) Breakfast is served until 2 in the gorgeous open plan/outdoor dining room where the view from the window looks like a piece of artwork. We had dinner here twice as they have live music every Thursday - the meu was limited but the quality was really good. Other reviewers talk about the staff - I can only reiterate that they are excellent; nothing is too much trouble If you need R&R/to get away from it all ..... you should holiday here A small piece of heaven

Just back from 10 days at ocean blue and haven’t got a bad word to say about it. The rooms are lovely and spacious, will miss waking up to the noise of the ocean. The food at the onsite restaurant was really good. The staff are amazing, the women on reception were so welcoming and lovely. It’s a little bit further from the action but can get a bus for a couple of pounds or a quick taxi. Would definitely return!

Thoroughly enjoyed the Ocean Blue. The artwork is beautiful, the room was basic, yet comfortable and very clean. The view of the water was relaxing and we were able to hear the sound of the waves crashing from our room. There are several spots where you can relax on the property and just enjoy. We had a nice dinner our first night there. Enjoyed the convenience of being able to walk to local transportation (van) that took us to the main areas we wanted to go for $3 BBD per person and there’s a local store within walking distance. Would absolutely go back!
