Quinta Das Achadas - Jasmine

A beautiful rural house just outside Odiáxere and only 10 mins from Lagos, we stayed in the Mimosa apartment which was lovely, it was very hot this summer so we made use of the super pool. The owners, Julio and Jill, are very friendly and welcoming and provide a lovely cooked breakfast (included in price) every morning and also host a delicious dinner on the roof terrace (extra) for guests a couple of times a week where you can meet the other guests and talk about your holiday adventures. Highly recommended.

This is such a lovely place! Very welcoming and beautiful. Once in a while they host a dinner for all the guests who want to join. That makes for a nice family vibe! We would really recommend this place.

We are a family of four and stayed for 7 nights at the beginning of June. The photos don’t really do justice to the lovely apartments and setting. Jill and Julio were such wonderful host and really made us feel at home. Great breakfast and lovely evening meals. The other guests were also very nice. We have a 6 and 8 year old and the heated pool kept them entertained for hours. The location is perfect as 15 min walk to shop, 10 min drive to Lagos. We used as a base to explore the south and west coast. Highly recommended and we hope to stay again. Thank you Jill and Julio.

This was our base for an InnTravel walking holiday and it couldn’t have been better. Jill and Julio are friendly, relaxed hosts and the general feel of their lovely property is comfortable and unassuming. Our room/bed were comfortable, the daily 9am breakfast was a great routine to start our days, and the two group dinners with other guests were a highlight. A rental car was important and gave us access to both hills and beaches. The local village has 3 or 4 restaurants of which we tried two pizza places (the Italian-owned was better but both were fine). A pool area, covered outdoor TV area, and rooftop patio were all relaxing options. And a special mention for Mylo and Cassie the resident dogs who both love a belly scratch! We’d certainly go back if we wanted to stay in the area again.

We stayed for a week recently with our children (Aged 3 and 8 months). The Quinta offers some good perks for a holiday with children; equipment like travel cot, highchair etc all provided, plenty of books and toys, pigs to feed, pool and hot tub, the 2 x communal meals after the kids were in bed was a real highlight. The apartment was spacious and perfectly sufficient with 2 bedrooms a living area, dining table and kitchen. The gardens are beautiful and the pool and hot tub are great especially at the end of a long day. Each apartment has outside space where breakfast (provided) is served and is a lovely space to enjoy a glass of wine. There is a large BBQ which guests are free to use. The area is remote but no more than 10 mins drive from Lagos and close to lovely beaches. Another perk was that Julio arranged the car hire, very easy to collect from the airport and this included the necessary car seats for the children. Julio and Jill are wonderful hosts who have hit a sweet spot for holidaying with a young family. It was almost relaxing!

We stayed here for 9 days recently as base accommodation for walking holiday and thoroughly loved it . We stayed in a room called Hibiscus which was clean, cool, comfortable and had all the facilities we needed including a sofa and a kettle . An excellent breakfast of a buffet was served followed by eggs and bacon if required .Some picnics were provided for the walking , as were detailed maps of the area .The site includes a hot tub, heated swimming pool , lovely gardens , an upper large terrace including a full kitchen, indoor and outdoor games and a comfortable outside covered cabana with a large TV for watching the football. We had two home cooked meals provided with our package , with were 3 course and of good quality , and gave us the opportunity to meet our fellow guests and have a sociable time and make new friends . The kitchen (which is available for guests use too) however is NOT a restaurant, so expect to eat there on the days when the hosts are cooking only. There is a 15 euro charge for the wine per couple at dinner which we thought was very fair as the wine kept flowing and was of good quality . There is also an honesty bar at reasonable prices including wine , beer , spirits and soft drinks . The owners have a detailed knowledge of the whole area , are really nice folk, and good characters whose approach to it all is individual and fun. This is not a downside but guests should be aware that a car is needed and the drive to the property has to be negotiated carefully and slowly as it is rutted and uneven. The local town Odiaxere is a 'proper' working town and a 25 minute walk from the Quinta if walking at night I would suggest a torch would be good investment . The town itself however has limited tourist facilities and maybe not the best for good night out. Having said that Lagos is a 10 minute easy drive so it matters not . We can only thoroughly recommend this place ,and we are glad to see that it is up and running again after some clearly terrible times caused by the pandemic.
