The Grange at Oborne, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

We stayed 3 nights at the hotel. It is nice and clean. Highly recommended in sherbrone. Only down side poor network reception in the area.

Have stayed here three times with different rooms, all very good, the balcony ones especially. Wake to bird song and a very good Breakfast. All set in a pretty little village, with walks and ducks. Lovely staff, relaxed A**osphere. Good parking.

We selected this hotel to celebrate my wife’s birthday, it was our first visit however it was a great choice. The hotel is situated in a quiet location but an excellent base to explore the local area and Sherborne. Checking in was extremely easy and our room was spacious very clean well maintained overlooking the garden. The bed was very comfortable with crisp white linen, the bathroom had an adjustable height shower over the bath there was an abundance of fluffy white towels. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant that overlooked the garden, the food served was superb expertly cooked with an abundance of flavour service in the restaurant was first class as it was through the whole hotel everywhere was very clean and tidy. There is a small bar and a very comfortable lounge the whole hotel has a charm and tranquility about it that comes from it being professionally managed. Within the garden there are numerous trees shrubs and plants all well tended and managed. It is an ideal place to stay in a lovely setting with first rate food and service service, all in all a great choice

This was our first visit to The Grange and we were not disappointed. Far from it. The hotel is tucked away in beautiful countryside. It is well signposted and at first sight looks idyllic. Car parking was easy and, thoughtfully, there is plenty of room to drop off your luggage by the entrance. Our first impressions were confirmed throughout our stay. Spacious, clean, thoughtfully decorated and some exquisite and quirky items dotted around the hotel. We had a beautiful, large room, complete with sofa, desk and chair and a patio door leading out to a very well kept cottage garden with well tended lawns. The usual drinks and Dorset's Moore's biscuits were provided. The large bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and had soft, fluffy towels. Breakfast was fantastic. My muesli came in an individual kilner jar which had a small triangular fi**ent within it. This was filled with blueberries. Similarly the yoghurt in another kilner jar had honey in its top fi**ent. Both were delicious. My wife chose fresh fruit salad which came in its own kilner jar. The full traditional English breakfast and the avocado/poached eggs were well cooked and excellent. The service was exceptional. Friendly, attentive and professional. The hotel is well placed for visits to Sherborne: we booked here because we were attending a concert in Sherborne Abbey that evening. Communication prior to our visit was excellent: booking was easy; and we would recommend The Grange with no hesitation.

We always try to stay here when we are in the area as it is always so relaxing. The hotel facilities improve constantly whilst the quality of service remains high. Attention to detail is excellent and nothing is too much trouble. Food and drink are good value and accommodation prices are very competitive. We always book directly with the hotel for best value.

As usual a perfect spring break in the lovely Dorset countryside. Elizabeth and I would like to thank all the staff and Jenny and John for looking after us so smoothly and so well. You are a credit to the hotel and to the travel industry. A perfect break in a perfect place !

The most wonderful hotel. We had a beautiful large room with everything we could have asked for for a luxurious stay. beds are comfy, pillows are fluffy, towelling robes and slippers are wonderful, shower was hot and strong. And the food, truly delicious, the sort of food you want to photo before you eat it, even the breakfast! Garden is pretty and we loved the hotel decorations and all the lovely quirky little details even down to the art deco teaspoons on our room tea tray. The staff are also wonderful, nothing is too much trouble and they are so efficient and courteous. I could go on! We had only booked for one night which we deeply regretted but we will be back. Thank you for a magical experience.

This family run hotel lived up to its expectations. We received a friendly welcome and had a lovely room with a patio door onto the well kept gardens. The excellent breakfast was imaginatively served and we enjoyed other meals - especially the cream tea with local fiz. Great weather and an idyllic location made it a perfect weekend.
