Knipoch House Hotel

After traveling for two weeks this was our last stop. Starting with the friendliest and most amazing staff, beautiful surroundings and comfortable rooms, it was a great way to end a fantastic Scotland vacation. Highly recommend you try the Old Fashions at the bar. The restaurant also far exceeded expectations.

We had absolutely, enjoyable time at Knipoch House. What a little gem of a place . The rooms are spacious and spotless. Great decor and crisp bed sheets. The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. Dinner was magnificent, the homemade sea****, and sourdough ale bread was delicious. Wonderful location. I can't fault anything. Looking forward to returning soon for longer.

This hotel has to be one of the best we have been to. We have been here for a long weekend. The staff have been amazing very helpful nothing is too much. Aimee is an amazing cocktail waitress she has listened to me an my husband all weekend making us brambles. Her cocktails are to die for. We had dinner in here the Sunday night and when I say there food is to die for it’s no lie. Husband is now sitting eating his second pudding lol. We will 100% be back. At the time of booking we never realised you can also bring ur dogs which we will next time. Thank you to the lovely staff a knipoch hotel we have had an amazing break away.

We received a nice welcome, with roaring fires, for Sunday lunch. We enjoyed the roast beef and the vegetables (carrots, cauliflower, parsnips, cabbage, roast potatoes) were well cooked. Beef slightly tough. Tasty gravy and and enjoyable parfait afterwards. A large bottle of sparkling water and red wine. Pricey though at £91. We booked a table although the restaurant was not busy.

This perfectly situated country house Hotel, so peaceful & quiet & within driving distance of Oban. Our room was lovely, the food amazing & the staff went the extra mile, very welcoming & efficient. We enjoyed our stay so much I'm looking forward to our return.

Nice hotel in a good location for visiting the Argyll coast. Room was spacious and comfortable. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. Food very good, with a good selection of wines and spirits. We took advantage of an offer, so good value for money with that.

Everything was very nice. We had double room it was nicely renovated. Comfortable bed and loved the heated bathroom floors. The restaurant was great. I'm vegetarian and there was a lot of options to choose from. The grounds and views from the Inn are beautiful. I would highly recommend staying here.

My family went today for lunch as we were celebrating my Mum's 79th Birthday. Firstly the approach looks gorgeous with it's carefully tended gardens. The building looks spectacular. We were greeted by the Hotel Manager who was extremely helpful. The meals were beautifully presented and my Mum even got a decorated plate saying Happy Birthday with chocolates and Turkish delight. What a wonderful surprise. Our lunches were served by Louise who was extremely knowledgeable about the meals and was very kind and courteous. My family and I are already planning our next trip. I highly recommend this magnificent hotel. You will definitely not be disappointed. The only thing that will disappoint is when it is time to leave. Thank you so much. Service was above and beyond.

The warmest of welcomes awaited our arrival for a two night stay. My wife and I were shown to our lovely room by Stephanie which had a fabulous view over the water. The room was spotlessly clean there was a nice selection of toiletries on offer in the walk in shower room. The bed was amazingly comfortable with exceptionally high quality linen sheets. The food did not disappoint - it was excellent, beautifully presented with generous portions. From a personal point of view, I would like to have seen a steak on the menu. Breakfast was excellent, a great selection for a continental breakfast and the cooked side of things, again, faultless. All the staff were amazing, Rachel and Louise hugely attentive and always with a smile. Stupidly, I did not get the names of the two gentlemen working on reception and in the dining room, but they also, were hugely helpful and efficient. A lot of money has been spent renovating, improving Knipoch to the high standard it offers, a very comfortable drawing room with its wood burning stove, is the perfect place to sit with a drink, a good book and simply relax. Hopefully, we shall be able to experience the other hotels in the Sonas Hotel Group, in the meantime, we are both looking forward to our return visit for two nights in August for a friend’s wedding nearby. In summary, Knipoch is delightful, tastefully furnished, great food, tranquil, fabulous views and super friendly and helpful staff.
