Oakura Beach Holiday Park

Right on the beach and such helpful staff. I planned to arrive after hours and they left a key for me and clear instructions. They even left a few coins so I could have a shower.

We first time visited in 2017 with our school kids, now they are grown up and we still come back several times a year, during all seasons,sometimes just for sitting in the sun or wind and listening to the waves. The campground, its facilities and chalets are well equipped and everything is always kept in top standard. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Highly recommended to spend some time there. You can see the effort and pride in of the owners and management in keeping everything well maintained, including a recently opened coffee cart opposite check in.Plymouth and the area got some sights and facilities for everyone. Also more beaches or walks if wanted in proximity. In summer beaches are live guard patrolled, as well as during summer holidays some activities a.nd games are offered for children. As well as having been informed for next summer25/26 there would be a plan for a playground update ( curious to come back and see 😊)

We love Cabin 2 It doesn’t have a bathroom but is not far from the amenities. It is so close to the beach and you can enjoy the view from the little deck. It was clean and has a toaster and kettle but you need to take cutlery and plates. We have had 3 stays out at Oakura Beach Camp this Summer.

When you find the best in the area, you stay with it. We've been coming here for several years and will continue to return. Great staff, very helpful and friendly. The camp is on the beach, has well kept facilities and large caravan sites. ✓✓✓✓✓

We had a powered site with amazing views just a few steps to the beach so fell asleep each night listening to the waves. Beautiful views, clean amenities and helpful hosts. Oakura township is super cute and we were close to New Plymouth also. We highly recommend and will definitely be back.

The location is amazing and facilities are good. however, my bay was near the camp and a lot of walking back and forth to the kitchen and toilets which only located in the middle of a the campsite. it's located just by the beach and ideal for surfers. we were travelling with camper van and they only reason i booked there was to use its amenities such as kitchen and the shower, however, the big disappointment was that showers only worked with NZ coins which I didn't carry. I hope they had a better solution for international travellers that don't carry local cash or coin. not very pleasant experience for me.
