Days Inn by Wyndham Oak Ridge Knoxville

I’ve always enjoyed staying at the Days Inn hotels: however, this time I was treated very unprofessional and rude by the front desk woman “Alyssa” who became frustrated and emotional when she couldn’t process my reservation - she even asked to leave and find another hotel when I already paid for my stay! Let’s just say we don’t ever have to go back there. The room was ok, no door latch and TV did not work but my husband ended up fixing it. Stay somewhere else!

Tv didn’t work, shower was broken just like using a water hose. Room stunk, stains on ceiling, chair and bed. Don’t stay here!

Clean room. Only Roku TV. The furniture was outdated and smelled like pets. Comfortable bed and clean sheets.

Rude staff and disgusting rooms. In the non-smoking rooms, there were cigarette burns on the comforter and stains on the ceiling. The bathroom had hair in the tub, on the towels and in the sink. The entire property is disgusting.

The building is quite old and the beds/furnishing are not at all well kept. The door did not have a working security latch. The continental breakfast was nothing more than some granola bars, juice concentrate and coffee! I would not stay here again unless there was no place for me to sleep.

There was cockroaches on the bed when we turned on the light to enter the room. We left immediately and went to the Hilton. This was the most disgusting thing to see upon entering a room. It stank like body odor.

Used ******* to book a room the same night I arrived. The place looked closed as all was dark except the sign and desk area. The clerk was nice but spoke very softly and was difficult to hear and understand. Took my credit card info in case there were more charges--which I thought was odd (more about this in a moment). I checked in and was given room directions. The entire building was dark--no exterior lights on at all. Needed a flashlight to find our upstairs room. The room appeared clean and there were no odors. The darkness helped hide the age of this hotel. It is OLD and mostly outdated. I am sure there are monthly renters in the building as some transients were hanging around the building. There are updates but our room had cracks in ceiling, the HVAC selector didn't work, mold and peeling paint in bathroom, the phone was from a different room, and the TV kept speaking to us to connect to the wifi--very annoying. The bed was ok but not great, yet linens were clean. Plenty of towels and the shower had hot water--though very low pressure and it leaked continuously. Toilet was slow to flush. The amenities were scarce though there was wifi and the tv was a good size and worked but was slow in responding. NO BREAKFAST--just coffee, muffin and breakfast snack (some would say continental but that's a real stretch). This hotel is on ******* and Wyndham but that should be re-evaluated in my opinion, as the cost is really outrageous for what you get. It's a $50 room for $130. Some of the "great" reviews must've been staying at a different hotel! Which brings up another thing, I booked this through ******* and paid in advance, thinking I got a deal. Two days later, I saw I was not only charged by ******* but again by the hotel itself! Double charged! Except the hotel charge for the room was cheaper than what ******* charged me. I would advise people to go somewhere else for what this hotel costs per room. You will thank me for it! I did contact the hotel to get reimbursed for being double charged, and was told they saw it and I would receive my money back in a couple of weeks. We will see...

Good bed, everything in the room worked, didn't see any bugs. Newly painted room but they must have quit after painting whole room except the woodwork in the bathroom. Deferred maintenance visible in outside areas. Ice machine needed air filter changed, no one to do it so the machine shut itself down. Pitiful breakfast. Beverages and a selection of two granola bars.

The staff was nice my room was ready and clean. Make sure to ask if u need the internet beforehand for work to make sure u will have access. I had to leave super early to finish work due to lack of Internet. I'm sure there's breakfast no wasn't able to attend due to having to go to work early. I slept well. If loyalty program is available the night staff didn't know about it I asked.
