Queensland Hotel

Hotel is located walking distance to the main road and right behind the K supermarket, plenty of parking space and hotel is surrounded by amazing greenery overlooking the hills. From the reservation stage To check in and until the departure, we Felt at home, relaxing, and comfortable. It was all because of the friendly staff and their Amazing service. We had breakfast and also dinner, Amazing presentation and the food was so Tasty. As a hotelier with 14yrs of Hotel industry expertise, i always look for details, Cleanliness and good Service. I am thrilled to say that the stay was perfect and we left with good memories. Definitely a great place and will always highly recommend. Thank you to Malinda who were very good at what he do, he knew hospitality to the core and trained his team to give perfect service.

One of the best places I have stayed with my family in Nuwara Eliya. The rooms are quite spacious, neat, and exceptionally clean. The guests were welcomed wonderfully, and the manager, Malinda, is very concerned about the guests' comfort. The hotel is conveniently located right behind the Keells Super Market, providing easy access without any narrow roads. The food was wonderful, and the staff were very helpful, providing guidance to ensure we reached home safely during heavy rains when there was a red alert for landslides. I am very thankful to the hotel and highly recommend it.

The hotel is quiet and extremely comfortable with a good free breakfast which I enjoyed on the balcony. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. I stupidly left a few things behind and the manager Malinda arranged to send them on to the next city I had moved on to.

Really fabulous hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Huge room with lovely bathroom. Lots of beautiful fresh flower arrangements. The breakfast was served on our balcony and was very delicious and beautifully presented. The hotel is ideally situated .. it’s an easy walk to the lake and town.

Queensland is a modern purpose built hotel halfway between Nuwara Eliya town and Gregory Lake, making it the ideal position for taking in the whole area. The SuperK supermarket at the top of the driveway was useful for getting drinks and snacks. The rooms are large and generally clean, some with balconies. Ours had a balcony overlooking what once was a superb view, but is now obscured by new building projects. This made us rather disappointed as we were not informed of it. Fortunately it was a holiday weekend when we stayed so we were not bothered by noise from the site. Initially we found service very disjointed, however the staff were so friendly and caring that we grew to appreciate the quirks and left there having had an enjoyable stay.

Our family of five had a comfortable stay in the family room. The room offered a stunning view of lush greenery and fog-topped mountains, setting a serene backdrop for our vacation.The absolute highlight, however, was the private tour to the owner, Mr. Vijay estate atop the mountain. He took us on an exhilarating off-road adventure in his Hilux SUV to his farm, situated at one of the highest peaks in the area. The farm was a delight, with a variety of crops like beets, leeks, carrots, and zucchinis (Mr. Vijay kindly picked a large yellow zucchini for us to enjoy during the tour), tea plantations, and potatoes. The panoramic view from the top was simply breathtaking.I highly recommend asking Mr. Vijay (Green stripped shirt in the photo) for this private tour when you stay here. Although he initially refused payment, the three-hour tour, complete with an off-road mountain ride, was invaluable. We insisted on compensating him and suggest you do the same. We strongly encouraged the owner to include this tour as part of a special accommodation package. Trust me, it will be a highlight of your trip to Sri Lanka and an educational experience too.
