I have to agree, that this was a disaster experience. Ride was not private we had to share a small cobalt with another fellow traveller. We arrived to guest house, that was a total construction site. Food was really basic. Ruslan did not take care nor explained anything. Was somewhat rude and his driver was begging for tips. All is a real tourist scam and is not worth dollars paid l. Highly discourage

Fellow travelers, If you want to feel as much like a tourist as possible, Ruslan will be your best ally. If you want to experience the culture and the people, Ruslan's trip is not the right option, and I highly recommend organizing your desert/mountain trips on your own. There are many authentic and amazing guesthouses (they will also take care of your transport if you ask for it, and at a good price). After 10 days in Uzbekistan, we had a good overview of the local cultures, prices and way of life. We wanted to go deeper into this country, and chose Ruslan's Village-to-village tour. $420 for 3 days and 2 nights. You can find prices like that in Europe, but we thought the trip would be extraordinary, so we went for it! Mustafa, our nice driver, picked us up in Bukhara and drove us to, surprisingly, a construction site for the first lunch. This is where we met Ruslan for the first time, but we're still waiting for his greetings. Lunch was served with complete indifference. After this amazing “typical” lunch experience, we went to the yurt camps for the night. It was nice, and the experience is memorable, but there's nothing authentic about it. They're just yurts set up in the desert by a greedy man to make a profit from tourists. Anyway, the next day, after struggling with Ruslan to do what was written in his messages, we went for a hike. In the middle of it, poor Mustafa, who had been promoted to guide during the hike, left us in the middle of the mountains, went back to his car, and left us to meet him at a school. We hadn't expected such an adventure (being lost in the mountains with no connection), but we escaped death. The second night was spent in a "ok" place, but the hosts were not at all welcoming. Maybe that's why they made us sleep on the floor in a 7-square-meter room. The hike on the third day was great with finally one person who was happy to be here. In conclusion, do it yourself and do not enrich Ruslan.

Bad! Money scam. They only want your money and all the positive reviews are fake. Spend your money on other things as they literally try to steal your money here. Not authentic experience, all tourist trap. Ruslan is also not friendly. BAD EXPERIENCE

I contacted Ruslan a few weeks before our trip to Uzbekistan to see if he could put together a custom itinerary for our short visit to the area. Ruslan created a perfect trip for us that included all of the things that we wanted to do and picked us up from Bukhara and dropped us off in Samarkand. He was incredibly accommodating, even for us both being vegetarian (which is difficult in Uzbekistan). The whole trip gave us some amazing memories that we will treasure.

Ruslan ha condiviso frettolosamente alcune informazioni superficiali sulla cultura della zona e del deserto, per poi sparire dopo aver incassato i soldi. Non ci sono state interazioni con la popolazione locale, tantomeno con quella del deserto. Le cinque yurte in cui abbiamo soggiornato erano in condizioni davvero scadenti, situate vicino a una strada trafficata, con notti disturbate dal rumore del traffico. Nonostante le ripetute richieste, Ruslan non ha mai fornito le registrazioni obbligatorie in Uzbekistan, tanto meno una ricevuta del pagamento. L'intera esperienza si è rivelata una trappola per turisti, priva di autenticità e con un costo certamente sproporzionato. Ci sono sicuramente altre opzioni più valide e rispettose per scoprire la bellezza dell'Uzbekistan.
