The Kilnwick Percy Resort and Golf Club

Visited KP back in April with my friend for a night away. We had a lovely suite with a hot tub that we made use of almost immediately. We didn’t use the restaurant that night so we ordered a takeaway from Franks in Pocklington, they kindly delivered and we waited at reception, but the driver did say he’d have rang us and delivered directly to our door if needed. We had such a lovely time, the suite was so clean and welcoming. Tea and coffee materials were available too which is always nice. The following morning we had breakfast included so made the most of this with a good view over the resort. I would definitely visit again. A lovely place to just relax and let all your worries fade away!

Stayed as part of our Golf group and although we didn’t get to play the course due to the inclement weather, did enjoy the facilities of the clubhouse. The room we were given was clean ,comfortable and modern although a touch on the small side. We noticed that the radiator was leaking slightly although I’m sure this will be addressed by the maintenance team. We enjoyed a 2 course meal as part of our package and we were very impressed by the standard of the food. Keith the chef on duty presented the food very nicely. The undoubted highlight of break was Sam, the assistant manager! He welcomed us to the restaurant and was very attentive , nothing was too much trouble for Sam. We witnessed him serving drinks, food and basically running the show. One of group commented that he was doing the job of 3 people. After speaking to Sam we learned that he speaks multiple languages and loves to interact with his customers, he really is a “people” person. In this day and age it’s so refreshing to see someone go out of their way to ensure the guests receive the standard of care that should be expected but sadly is lacking in a lot of places. Darwin Escapes really does have a diamond in Sam, if any of the management team monitor these reviews, please give Sam the recognition and reward he rightly deserves!! Because of the treatment we received from Sam,our group will definitely be returning to Kilnwick Percy Gold resort. Also, a big shout out to Lewis, the young Barman, a great example of how a Bartender should carry out his job, polite, respectful and very sociable with his customers! 5***** for these two fine young men!!

Totally enjoyed our 4 night stay at this resort,the lodge was the pocklington deluxe,very spacious and comfortable. The hot tub was maintained daily,and the temperature was perfect not too hot,just warm enough to chill I’d definitely recommend the bar and the Glasshouse for a visit,very relaxing environment,and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Just like to finish off by saying me and the wife will definitely be back
