Apartments at Number 82 the Unthank

The apartment was a good size, had what was needed in it but just felt a bit run down. Cobwebs everywhere, dusty floors, ironing board falling apart, very uncomfortable pillows etc. safety issues too, no lighting at all between the carpark and entrance door 2 so in the dark it is pitch black and with a step that you can’t see. The entrance door did not close or lock and had seemingly been that way for a while as the socket where the lock should be was empty. I would not have felt comfortable or safe staying there alone. It’s a shame as you can tell it used to be lovely but it just seems like it needs a bit of extra attention. It was recommended to me by a colleague who stayed there a couple of years ago so I’m sure this was just a blip.

Booked Dragon Hall the mobility apartment for my elderly slightly disabled aunt and uncle for 6 nights. They were very happy and Louis concierge made sure they got what they needed.

Although a great location and kitchen amenities, our stay experience was average at best. When we arrived, we received the booking information for two of the three rooms. Communicating with the staff was very difficult as they didn’t answer the phone and were not on the premises, they also did not go out of their way to amend the room mistake, or even ask. The rooms were also dusty and some of the amenities were broken. Nevertheless, the rooms were as described and the location, being in one of the main roads, is ideal.

Clean enough but overall I was disappointed. Location was good but pub was very noisy across the road, especially on the weekends. This would’ve been okay apart from the fact that our window was smashed and celotaped back together, so we could hear everything outside. We also tried to change dates to a few months later instead but we were told that it was not possible, despite there being availability. We turned up two weeks later than originally planned, so I believe the window could have been fixed in this time before our arrival. The window latch was also broken which was not ideal in 30 degree heat. We also came back to our room door being unlocked and wide open, with our room half-cleaned. Nobody was around our room or from what we could see, even in the building, posing a security risk. Thirty minutes later someone arrived to finish cleaning the room. The main door downstairs is not locked during the day either so this was a worry.

We booked early check-in as we were attending an event. When we arrived, the room was filthy, food and dirt on the floor. ***** in the bathroom, dirty towels everywhere. Bed had been slept in, wasn't made with makeup all over. All the furnicher was dusty, as if it had never been wiped. When we phoned to let them know the lady on the phone was very rude also. 2 hours later the room did get cleaned, leaving us half an hour to get ready for our event, but still the room hadn't been cleaned properly, still hair all over the bathroom, food residue over the sides, and other people's belongings. On the hall, there were also dirty socks left, wallpaper falling off from damp. We also hat to park on the road as there was no parking spaces.
