Really welcoming experience from start to finish staff really friendly had lunch and the server really went out of his way to make sure my partner was accommodated as she is gluten free / celiac was very busy but the food came out hot and fresh really good value The room was very peaceful despite being above the bar clean and tidy and had a great nights sleep one tiny tiny thing on your website it says all rooms have smart tvs this wasn’t the case with ours just a standard tv no HD or any access to Netflix or iPlayer etc As I said a tiny issue and not a problem for us but can imagine it being so for more fussy guests Breakfast was really really nice and again taking great care to make sure my partner was aware of the gluten free etc well done to all at the white hart we will be back

Stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding nearby. Staff were friendly and the restuarant and bar were both good. There are rooms situated in the inn itself and an external building. I stayed in the external building and the room was great. From talking to friends the rooms in the external building seem to be better than the ones in the main building. The room was fully kitted out including both a kettle and coffee maker. The only issues would be you could here the upstairs residents moving about and the mattresses were quite hard but these are minor issues.

My husband brought me here for my birthday, firstly what a stunning location but unfortunately that was the only thing that was stunning! The food was absolutely terrible the pie had a raw pastry top and the inside resembled a soup and to go with it was a very strange colored instant mash with cold veg , my husband had the steak which he also found hard to eat as it came smothered in mint , I did complain and the pie was removed from the bill and the lovely waiter did not seem shocked that the food was awful so I take it they must get lots off complaints.... Come on white hart get yourself a decent chef

This evening my family came here for dinner. We arrived around 7:45 and were sat promptly. Menu had an okay variety. The FOH didn't feel particularly welcoming with quick answers and no conversation. We were probably one of only 4/5 tables however it must have taken around 45 minutes for our food to come. Half my table enjoyed the meal (fish and chips/ pie) but however my food was of the other extreme. I had the steak which was more medium well/ well done than the MR stated on the menu. The chips, mushrooms and tomatoes were just okay however the salsa verde or however they called it was really not very nice. It was unfortunately covered all over the steak too. We ordered pudding also. The deconstructed cheesecake was pretty however no more than 3 spoonfuls. The profiteroles were more the size of choux buns which would have been good however they were extremely doughy in the middle, flat and the cream was more of a creme patisserie in the middle. I'd been here a few times in the past and had quite enjoyed the food however this is not the case anymore and don't think I will be returning.

Absolutely fantastic place Staff so welcoming and very accommodating We stayed for 1 night and loved it Rooms very nicely presented and clean. The whole place didn't disssapoint and is in a beautiful location. Would definitely go back without a doubt

Such a beautiful location and amazing staff. Would definitely recommend, very accommodating and great service. I cannot exaggerate how beautiful of a place this is, in the picturesque countryside. The atmosphere was perfect, and would definitely encourage people to stay here.
