TV, Internet did not work the whole day. I notified the front desk and maintenance three times and nobody ever showed up out of my weekday.

We stayed at a Residence Inn several years ago in Washington, DC and it seemed so modern. This property was a bit dated; however, the location was ideal for our needs. We were walking distance from the Chrysler Museum and to the restaurants that we were interested in eating at. The people were very friendly and it was easy to get a Lyft if we were traveling too far away to walk. Overall, we had a great time.

No soap in the room. Front desk said they'd send some up. Never arrived. I go out for 3 hours and on my way in, i visit the front desk. Here's how that conversation went:
Hi, i called earlier about how there was no soap in my room.
Female employee looks thru a drawer and says they don't have any.
A male employee said the housekeeping manager has the key and maybe she didn't order more.
Me: so is that the deal? There's just no soap?
Male: yeah that's the deal.
No resolution offered. Barely apologetic - as if it's cool for an 8 story hotel to not have a single bar of soap available for guests.
I'll never stay here again.

There were three identical reservations in our booking, each for the same type of room and the same number of nights. The rooms were pre-paid in full. There were two problems, one minor one major:
1) One of the travelers got an email on the second-to-last morning indicating that he was checking out that day. When talking to the reception the person told us to ignore the email as it was sent in error.
2) The credit card of one of the travelers, a foreign national who would have had trouble fighting this from his home country, was charged for a full night of accommodation. This was not done "silently" without any indication of the receipt that was emailed after the stay.
Because of these two problems, as well as the fact that my room was not cleaned or made up at any time during my 4-night stay, I will not stay in this hotel again.

Nice atmosphere, convenient location, we were able to easily and safely walk to the Chrysler Hall for a show and a nearby restaurant.
It would’ve been perfect until we went to sleep and the mattress was hard as a rock, the bedding was paper thin, and being on the second floor facing the Blvd the noise was terrible and kept us up most of the night (sirens, loud cars, people walking by late at night) there was constantly some sort of noise.
Next time I would request an interior room facing the alley or a higher floor perhaps.

Staff if amazingly friendly. The lobby and gym and very nice. However, our room was in need of a good cleaning and a new tub. The tub was rusted and there were stains in the doors, couch, and bed skirt. The utensils needed to be washed before use as well.

Good location, nice clean room, an overall consistent brand experience. How this location goes above and beyond is the amazing customer service. The hiring manager should get a pat on the back for finding the best people. They’re authentic in a way that is difficult to explain all while maintaining the utmost professionalism.
