Culgoa Point Beach Resort

Lovely well equipped apartment overlooking the marina. The apartment was clean and had every facility to enjoy a stay . Pool was heated, sauna and jacuzzi great. Lots of renovations going on, but not intrusive. Ferry to Hastings street available nearby. The best restaurant in Noosa, Rock Salt, next door and regular buses passing all day. The only downside for us was the weather, but we were just unlucky! Little overpriced also.

Do NOT recommend!! There are so many better options in and around Noosa. Please note this is an honest review of Culgoa Point resort Noosa. The resort is extremely dated, run down and the beach has dirty sand from the huge dredge that parks out the front. Our apartment ( premium beachfront) was anything but premium and looked over the sand dredge with no sunlight and a poor design.For example you have to put your toiletries in the bathtub as no bench in the bathroom. Grounds are not well maintained. There is scaffolding spread out everywhere as I imagine a renovation is about to take place of this tired old establishment. I did report the lack of cleanliness to the front desk who offered to send someone up to wipe it down. It did however require more of a clean than that. We would have checked out day one if we had not prepaid. The office staff noted that the premium apartments are all old and the deluxe ones are better. However at over $500 a night for the premium apartment we stayed in they need to offer a better quality product. Beware of this place!! Overpriced and very underwhelming.

We stayed at Culgoa Beach Resort for a week and were very happy with our stay. The complex is very well maintained, has a large swimming pool, a spa, sauna and fitness room and a small beach. Guests can also rent stand up paddling boards and canoes. Our apartment was very clean. The staff at the reception and also the manager respond very friendly to the wishes of the guests. They are happy to help with information about activities and excursions in and around Noosa. Minor defects in the apartment are remedied immediately and to all requests the staff responded very flexible. A nice idea has to be mentioned specially: there is a small coffee corner near the reception where guests can make free coffee (Nespresso). The complex is about 15 minutes walk from the center of Noosa Heads. But there are buses practically every 10 minutes from the bus station, which is practically in front of the resort.

Recently enjoyed an 8 nights stay in a first floor beach front apartment. The beautiful view overlooking the beach and Noosa River are the one of the best around. Our children enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking out to the sand bar and search for crabs and fishing off the bank. Our two bedroom apartment was perfect for 2 adults, 2 kids. Very clean and contained everything we needed. The ensuite was tight, but functional. TV had chrome cast so we could watch anything that we would at home. Bedrooms had ceiling fans which in conjunction with the sea breeze, did the job. Plenty of bbq’s scattered around the property for communal use, always clean and never had to wait to use one. We utilised the beachfront bbq numerous nights while the kids swam and the sunset. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Little communal area next to reception is great for making complimentary nespresso or doing work from home in peace. Pool area was fantastic if we wanted a change from the beach. Didn’t use the gym, but it’s compact, overlooking the pool, with everything you would need. Location is premium, flat easy walk to Hastings St or Gympie Terrace, literally best of both worlds. Bus stop at the top of the street if needed, we had a hire car so we mostly left the car in the gated car park and walked everywhere. Quamby Place has a cafe, convenience store, bottle shop, hair dresser, fish n chips and numerous restaurants. We have been coming to Noosa (Hastings St) for many years and now that we have stayed here, I think this will definitely be our new family go-to, particularly at the price point compared to other beachfront accommodation. In our experience Culgoa was definitely great value for money in Noosa.

It appears they don’t want any guests staying here. They’re driving everyone away. Don’t go here if you’ve got children of any age. It’s almost Like it’s a crime. You’ll be watched like a Hawk and pulled up on every step you take. Worst place in Noosa now. Very unfortunate.

We booked 3 nights in apartment 8 (ground floor premium marina apartment) but had to leave after 1 night because it was so awful. We paid over $450 per night, which is the cost of a 5 star luxury hotel resort. Don't believe the beautiful photos on the website - what we got was barely better than an average motel room. 1. The kitchen and second bedroom windows face an underground carpark meaning no natural light comes into the apartment from this direction, making it feel dark and claustrophobic. 2. The whole apartment smelt strongly of bleach when we arrived. 3. The ensuite bathroom smelt of sewage and was unusable. My partner had to sleep in the second bedroom alone because he couldn't bear the smell in the master bedroom. 4. The fan in the main bedroom clicked so loudly we couldn't have it on during the night. 5. Because of 4 above, we had to have the window open during the night, but the window frame rattled constantly in the breeze, which I could hear through ear plugs. 6. The furniture was cheap and uncomfortable. 7. The kitchen was very dated. 8. The shower door in the ensuite bathroom swings open and smashes against the toilet seat. We nearly broke it. This screams poor quality build. 9. The wall in the second bedroom has a hole in it from where the door handle keeps banging into it. 10. The mattresses and pillows were rock hard and very cheap, as was the linen on the beds. 11. The view was terrific - directly out to the waterfront. However, we could hardly see it because the patio window wasn't much more than 1m wide because of the shutters either side. This contributed to the lack of natural light in the apartment. We could have accepted these shortcomings if we had paid $100 a night, which is what I think it is worth. In no way should this resort be charging $450 for this apartment. Maybe other apartments in this complex are nicer. We were not prepared to take that risk. Thankfully, Culgoa Point did refund me the two unused nights.
