Addy's Villas

We were blown away by all the little details! The owners thought of everything that a traveler could possibly need. The location of Addy’s Villas was excellent, but the cleanliness, customer service and hospitality was exceptional! We only stayed for 3 nights. The efficiency unit was perfect for 2 people for a shorter trip. We’ll definitely stay there again! A huge thank you to the owners. :)

Great location, very clean and easy access. The location is convenient for beach, stores and dining. We were greeted with lights on and extra towels after a long day of driving. Very welcoming! Friendly staff. I will certainly go back and recommend it to friends who visit the area.

Tucked into the relaxed beach town of Nokomis, Addy’s Villas offers a delightful retreat that captures the essence of Old Florida charm. Close to the Legacy Trail, it’s a cyclist’s haven. The guest cottages, which include free on-site laundry facilities, are fully equipped and clean. Even the few hiccups we encountered were swiftly and efficiently addressed by the hosts, whose congeniality and helpfulness shone through.

Our hosts Chuck and Michael arranged for one of the smaller "Villas" for a week's stay in Florida - near Everything and easily accessible - on Route 41, the famous Tamiami Trail between Tampa and Miami. The single room efficiency was clean, comfortable and close to swimming pool and the laundry. More important, we were within comfortable drives to wonderful restaurants, shops in Venice, and, of course, the BEACHES! Our parrothead adventure led us south to tour and enjoy Manisota Key, Sanibel Island, Captiva Island, and Marco Island, not to mention good food and music.

Excellent Choice. My boyfriend and I wanted a weekend getaway and chose Venice Beach Fl. Next was the chore of choosing a place to stay..I was very pleased with my choice of Addy's Villas. Check in was very easy, except I messed that up. I totally forgot my code, and I'm so very sorry, I had to call the owner at 11pm. I was very pleased when I walked in for the first time. Clean, immaculate, and so very cute. I looked around and could not find a speck of dust or dirt anywhere. If the baseboards are clean in the bathroom, you know it's clean. I was in a standard room, and it had everything we needed. Plates, silverware, dish soap etc. We were only there for the weekend, and stayed gone most of the time, but I did meet a few regulars, and heard very good reviews from them as well. Some are already talking about booking for Christmas Vacation. It's a place with personality, located near anything you could need, and most importantly clean and the grounds were kept up. Had a great pool, we were able to take advantage of the morning of checkout. We were running a little behind, and they were willing to give us a little extra time so we were able to relax and float around the pool, before we left. Oh, they also had a very cool cactus that blooms at night. So yes, I was creeping around at 2 am taking pictures. Very beautiful. I would highly recommend staying here. I can't say enough good things about it. We had an awesome time, and felt good laying out heads down at night, knowing we weren't dealing with bugs or filth. Thanks you guys, if we get back down that way, I'm hoping you will have room for us, and I promise I won't call you in the middle of the night again, asking for my code...

Great Innkeepers, Lovely Stay! Every excellent stay begins with the innkeepers’ philosophy and capability. That’s why Addy’s Villas consistently rates in the “wonderful” category. From the moment we first made phone contact with Michael of Addy’s Villas a year ago, asking if he might have room for us to stay in a villa while we watched our house in Nokomis being completed, we were amazed by the hospitality and kindness of the owners (Michael and Chuck). They were so understanding when our completion date kept sliding out into the future. Finally, we arrived May 30, 2023 for the final months of the build. Michael graciously took me grocery shopping at Publix the first day, as our car had not yet arrived. Our first month in the 2-bedroom Hibiscus Villa #11 was comfortable and delightful. I so enjoyed the large, well equipped kitchen with maple cabinets, black granite countertops and a stove that heated up instantly, and was fantastic to cook on! All the cooking tools had been sanitized and wrapped. Everything I needed to cook was provided for. There is even a dishwasher. The villa was kept immaculately, with nice sheets and towels, and a lovely color scheme, with sea and bird related art on the walls. The curvaceous cane and rattan settees give us an old Florida vibe, but the complex has strong Wi-Fi and cable TV on a modern Insignia TV. Old Florida…the first 3 buildings were constructed in the 1950’s by Beacom’s Motor Lodge. They built out the total of 16 single story units and then Addy and Mike operated it for many years. Around 2008 an Ohio firm renovated cabinets, kitchens and bathrooms and put in a pool. The current owners have lived on site and managed it since late 2014. They do a really good job making sure guests are comfortable and all maintenance is on point. Hurricane Ian downed many trees and the fences. Reroofing is under way now in summer, 2023, after the initial urgent removal and restoration work was done. The complex sees regular 3x weekly pool service, mowing of the ample lawns, fumigation and other services. The security here is excellent, with robust steel doors and numeric code locks. The freshwater pool is heated, and there is ample space on the 2.5 acre site for lounging, sunbathing, barbecuing, picnicking, walking and parking. High quality commercial Speed Queen laundry is available at no charge in the front building for guests. Maggie and Mar also on site are quick to respond to guests’ needs. The location is very close to shops in several directions, and it is a short 1.5 mile drive, scooter or bike ride to gorgeous Nokomis Beach, where we have been going each morning for walks. It’s also within a mile or two of excellent seafood restaurants, like Pop’s Sunset Grill, Casey Key Fish House, Captain Eddie’s, and Nokomo’s Sunset Hut.
