Africa Safari Lake Natron

We had amazing stay in one of the huts in Africa Safari Lodge. It is in the middle of nowhere so don't expect high end luxury but it's clean, spacious, beautifully located, with very friendly staff. If you are lucky zebras might come at night and wander around your hut.

We had a wonderful time at Africa Safari Lake Natron Camping. The landscape here is beautiful. We were able to exit our tent and have a fantastic view of the lake. We stayed at a number of camps and lodges and this was by far the best food we had. The staff is wonderful (they even have Maasai warriors for safety from animals!). Special call out to Abby. She made sure we were well taken care of and from early in the morning to closing up at night she was always smiling and making us laugh.

Safari Africa Lake Natron Safari Lodge is open all year round, offering a range of accommodations suited to different preferences and group sizes. There are 5 Safari Tents (no toilet and shower, but still very comfortable), including 4 twin tents and 1 double tent. The lodge also offers 9 Glamping Tents, 5 of which are family rooms with connecting options for up to 6 people, 2 quadruple rooms, and 2 with double beds. For those seeking more comfort, there are 10 Comfortable Bungalows, ideal for families. Each bungalow has 2 rooms: one with a double and single bed, and the other can accommodate an extra bed (available for 2 to 4 guests). The main building, housing the restaurant, bar, and reception, provides Wi-Fi, with plans to extend this service to the pool area early next year. Guests can also visit the boutique gift shop at reception. The restaurant offers a stunning view of the large swimming pool (which children will love) and Lake Natron. Water, alcohol, and sodas are available for an additional charge. For activities, guests can enjoy a scenic 1.5-hour walk to the lake to observe flamingos or opt for a round-trip car ride to the lake. The drive to the Ngare Sero Lodge waterfalls takes about 30 minutes by car, followed by a 30-minute walk. During the dry season, the waterfall walk is easy, but it can be tough during the rainy season. It’s recommended to wear tennis shoes that can get wet, as the stones along the river are slippery. The waterfall's landscape is truly stunning, making the journey well worth it. Public toilets are available for the first category of rooms, and honeymooners receive a special song and a complimentary bottle of wine. The lodge also offers flexibility for upgrades (subject to availability, with additional fees).
