The hotel is a real retreat. Our room had a fabulous view of the crater. The staff was amazing and management were very present and interacted with clients. Martin checked on us and truly added to our stay. The hotel is a very unique and exclusive property and they provide an exceptional experience.

This is a spectacular hotel. Each room has a clear view of the Ngorongoro crater. The staff were very kind and helpful and the food was excellent. Rooms are small but comfortable and first-class quality. This hotel is highly recommended.

If you’re planning a trip to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you have to stay at Ngorongoro Lodge by Meliá. My partner and I were blown away by this place, and it made our trip unforgettable. The absolute highlight for us was the heated pool. There’s nothing like swimming while staring out at the jaw-dropping views of the Ngorongoro Crater—it felt like a dream! The whole lodge is gorgeous, with cozy vibes and a perfect mix of luxury and nature. Waking up to those views every morning was something else. But what really made our stay special was Martin, the manager. I’ve never met anyone so kind and welcoming. He greeted us like old friends, shared awesome tips about the area, and made sure we had everything we needed. Martin’s energy and genuine care turned a great stay into something truly memorable. He’s a gem! The rooms were super comfortable and spotless, with big windows that let you soak in the scenery. The food was fantastic too—fresh, tasty, and full of local flavors. Every single staff member was friendly and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Ngorongoro Lodge by Meliá is hands-down the best place to stay in the area. Thanks to Martin and the team, we’re already dreaming of our next visit. Don’t miss this place!

A spectacular property and an amazing experience. I cannot recommend this more highly for luxury travel. A special call out to food and beverage team led by Augustine who ensure that all of our dietary needs were met for each family member. We had nothing to worry about as we were in great hands with Augustine on the case. A perfect vacation!!!

Location and views amazing. Service and food excellent. Rooms a bit noisy being located close to or under main lobby, dining and bar especially if you are wanting a good sleep to get up for an early safari.

Pros: Breathtaking views from the lobby, Warm reception at the hotel, French press coffee and a well stocked minibar in the room. Cons: Rooms were smaller than a typical 3 star hotel, fridge in the room was not working, AC in the room was disabled without notice (because of “peak season”) and even a fan wasn’t provided to beat the heat, staff wasn’t accommodating of meal preferences Definitely do not recommend visiting.
