Barrowfield Hotel

Just returned from a diash coach holiday. Very long 8 hour coach trip from worcester but lovely hotel and staff. Food was very good portions and nice and hot .wonderful Yorkshire pudding Staff all friendly and helpful. Definitely would return

My partner and I stayed at The Barrowfield Hotel from 10/07/25 - 14/07/25. We were allocated room 104 at the back of the hotel, a twin room, with walk-in shower. As the room overlooked a flat roof, there was usually a number of seagulls roosting there, so it could get rather noisy...but this is the seaside after all! The hotel is under new management since our last visit, and we found Frank and his son's to be most helpful. No issues with the food, enough choice and well cooked. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and loved seeing the beautiful sunsets, and the added bonus of the food fayre over the weekend. Our only issue was on the day trip to St. Ives, the driver did not know how to turn off the air conditioning, and it was very cold. Also instead of staying longer in St. Ives, the driver took it upon himself to drive us around various landmarks in Newquay, which for some clients, who may not have seen them before, was a bonus....but for those of us who were cold, and have visited Newquay on a number of occasions, we would have preferred to go back to the Hotel, and maybe have a walk in the sunshine, having got back into Newquay earlier than anticipated, so this was rather disappointing. The weather was superb during our stay, and a good crowd from the West Midlands. Thank you to all the staff during our stay, who made it a pleasant one.

This holiday was the second we have been on with Daish,s and another good experience from being picked up on time and a comfortable coach.Our room had been decorated very tastefully in white and grey very clean comfy beds and clean sheets and towels.We had a sea view from one window and the room was spacious as well as the bathroom .Food was very good and served efficiently and always hot.We found all the staff to be welcoming and the bonus of a swimming pool in such hot weather was very nice .Looking forward to our next break with Daishs just deciding which one .Many thanks for an enjoyable break.
