Travelodge Newbury Tot Hill

The shower did not work due to a plumbing issue which would normally be understandable but Travelodge had known about this as an ongoing issue and still charged a premium rate and not told me about this prior to staying there. Not good. Otherwise than this the room itself was fine and clean and the staff on shift were nice

Got an amazing deal. 4 nights for £101.00. I stay regularly, but never 4 nights, maybe that why 8s was cheaper? Since my last visit, the hotel has been refurbished. New carpets are the main new add. Rooms , I was in room 211 , looked fresher. I was visiting family in the Newbury area, so I only used the room as a base. The bed was excellent, with two extra pillows available. TV was only freeview, but I only used it once. Had my tablet with me, eo watched Sky on that instead. WiFi is £3.00 for 24 hours or £12.00 per week, I was more than happy to pay the £12.00 . But to be honest, you can pick up free WiFi from Starbucks or the Shell garage. I never bother as it tends to crash late at night. Big secure car park adjacent, frre parking. You have a Starbucks and a McDonald's on your doorstep, and a short walk to a Shell Garage with a small Waitrose attached. The rooms are only serviced on request, I never bothered. You have a small kettle and hot drink ingredients. I bought plenty of my own tea bags, coffee sachets, and milk. But you can request more. Nice clean bedding and towels. The bathroom is okay. The bath is very narrow and shallow , so it was a battle to have a bath. Never used the shower. Brought my own soap, shampoo, etc. But there is a dispenser with hand soap. The towel rail was not heated, but the room was lovely and warm . You can boost or reduce the heating at your will. The hot water in the sink and bath was painfully slow. A drbble at the best, but did the job. All staff I encountered were very friendly. Check in and check out very easy. Will return at the end of March.

Stayed here a few times in 2024 whilst sorting my Mum's will/estate in Newbury. Seems it has gone downhill a bit since then? Lovely welcome from the staff on duty. Nice and easy check in. Room seemed pretty dated and not as clean as last year. Tons of litter outside the whole building - not a great view! Very noisy guests arguing loudly late at night. No point getting involved. Great value price for 2 nights but not sure we would stay again after this visit.

It was very clean, fresh and smart living with supportive staffs welcome to sign up and guided around the areas of beauty surroundings.

Very nice staff, price and pleasant stay. I would like to recommend this place as a stop near Newbury.

A very well maintained hotel. Decent size room, which was clean and comfortable. A 10 minute drive to Newbury. Only downside was the terrible mobile phone reception, but that isn't the fault of the hotel.
