We were in town for a concert, and spent just one night at this delightful bed and breakfast. A lovely old building from a bygone age. The house is on a quiet street, with a large driveway at the side of the house for 2-3 cars, and street parking. We were welcomed by Danuta (“Dee”), who was very nice, and exactly as her reviews had described her. It was a pleasant change from the usual hotels we stay in, we felt like gets, and not room numbers. Although our stay was short, it was most relaxing. We were shown to the third floor of the house, “The East Room Suite”. The queen bed was very comfortable with soft sheets and pillows. Air conditioning window units with remote control. Bottled water was thoughtfully provided in the room. There is plenty of closet space, ample lighting, and a power strip with USB ports. The bathroom was shared one other room. This room was quite large, with shower, hosting a dispenser for shampoo and body wash. Several other toiletries were provided. This house is full of old-world charm. The rooms large and comfortable, and felt like you were stepping back in time. Just wonderful. I was truly charmed. Reminded me of the houses I used to stay in as a child in England, where I grew up. There are plenty of choices at breakfast from continental to fully cooked. This is a great opportunity to eat, relax and converse with the other guests. Just a 20-minute cab ride to St. George Theater. We used the local cab company as it is cheaper that Uber! There are many lovely restaurants in this area. We ate at Beso, a Spanish Tapas bar on Bay Street, an excellent choice. I highly recommend, and we look forward to returning here again in the future.
