Upon our arrival at the hotel, we inquired about parking our car and were directed to a nearby lot that the hotel had an agreement with. However, upon arrival, we were hurriedly asked to remove our belongings, resulting in us bringing unnecessary items to the hotel. It would have been helpful if the hotel staff had informed us that we could unpack our things near the hotel entrance at a more relaxed pace.
Furthermore, we experienced an issue with our shower upon returning to our room in the evening - there was no cold water. We contacted the reception and a technician was sent to fix the problem. However, after tinkering with the water for a while, the technician informed us that the issue had been known for a few days, as the contractor had "crossed the pipes," and that we would be moved to a new room the next day. It would have been more appropriate for the hotel staff to have informed us of this issue at check-in and avoided the inconvenience of sending a technician who was unable to fix the problem. This could have been especially dangerous if one of our children had attempted to take a shower with only boiling water.
While the manager was accommodating and we received compensation, such as half a night's stay and a complimentary breakfast, informing us about these issues beforehand would have been a better solution.
