LIC Manhattan View Hotel

Best location in LIC just across cafes and a 3-min walk to the N/W subway train on 39th Ave/Dutch Kills. Would go back in the future.

Service at late night was okay; they were 'finally' accommodating. I would happily stay again as it was a decent experience but can be smoother perhaps.

The hotel does not have working air conditioning. Despite this clearly being an ongoing problem (other reviews have noted this for over a month), they don’t disclose this at any point in the booking. My room was 81 degrees at 10:00 PM when I checked in. The solution was to have a portable air conditioner brought up, and have my window wide open all night. As I was on a low floor, I didn’t want noise or bugs coming in, and was a bit floored that this was their solution. Eventually they moved me to a different room with a portable air conditioner that was riveted to the window (further reinforcing that the hotel’s lack of AC is a permanent issue). It was still uncomfortably warm. While the staff there was perfectly nice, the fact that there was no working AC, that this wasn’t disclosed, and no refund of any sort was offered, means that I think anyone should stay away. There are at least 6 other hotels in a one block radius. None of them seem to have the same issues.

I appreciate the availability for earlier check in. Fast and friendly service. I would definitely check in again for the quality service
