Auld Sweet Olive Bed and Breakfast

First time at a bed-and-breakfast, and it was a wonderful experience from the time I knocked on the door I got greeted with a warm, welcome and a hug. Kate is a lovely woman, and made me feel like at home. Our room was cozy and comfortable. Our breakfast with Linda and Steve was so wonderful. Linda is an amazing cook, and Baker. they made us feel like family instantly. We were lucky to have a great parking spot in front of the place we did not drive our car anywhere in New Orleans area because we were so close to everything we walked we love walking and we are very close to everything, maybe about a mile mile and a half close restaurants around I felt safe in the neighborhood we stayed and loved it . Bourbon Street the whole atmosphere all around us :) love it and if you like history, this is the place to visit

We stayed in a nice room with direct access to garden. Decorations are almost "Victorian" with early America accents decorated with art by local artists and classic prints. Air condition unit was a bit noisy - but we were given air plugs which helped a lot. Comfy bed!!

Beautiful & unique Vintage B&B. So peaceful & comfortable, & the Inkeeper, Kate was so helpful. It's wonderful that each room has its own bathroom, & the beds are really comfortable. I really enjoyed the patio pool, & Jacuzzi. I would highly recommend the Sweet Olive to any visitors to the New Orleans area!

We came from 2 days in the Roosevelt Hotel, the ultimate luxury in midtown NOLA. Don't expect that type of experience at the Auld Sweet. No glamour, no bell boys to tip off, no jewellery shops, no indoor restaurants where a glas of wine will cost you 20 dollars and a breakfast goes at $35, no chilly airco temperatures. Do expect the coming home experience at this B&B. Kate's response when we called her about check-in time - "whenever you're ready". Find a beautiful, romantic room in a place just outside the French quarter. Enjoy breakfast (ncluded) chatting with a couple of other guests in the living room. Hang out at the beautiful terrace with swimming pool and hot tub. So yes we loved this place and recommend it to visitors that like to experience the extraordinary.

This amazing bed and breakfast is beautiful! The buildings are well maintained with artwork throughout. The rooms are stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The innkeeper, owner, and all the staff are very kind and accommodating. It is a quiet, romantic place to stay in the wild and crazy city of New Orleans. The pool and hot tub are sparkling clean and refreshing.

Love this place! Charming and in a great location. Walkable to French Quarter and Frenchman St as well as many great places in the Marigny neighborhood. Quiet at night. And the included breakfast was delicious and satisfying! Kate was attentive and great. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful place with tons of fun design details/easter eggs. Our bed was massively comfortable. The pool/back yard is amazing. It was perfectly heated, so relaxing and gorgeous. I spent way more time in the pool than I intended because it was so great. Convenient location. Planning to come back and recommend widely.

A gorgeous hidden gem. The home was big and beautiful, the hosts were unmatched in their energy and hospitality, and the neighborhood was walkable and fun without being too busy or overwhelming. If you're hoping to take it a little easier over a long weekend—but you still want to get out and about—this is the spot.
