From check in to check out, we had the most amazing experience staying here and I’ll start with this: customer service! we got in a little later and were tired from traveling so rather than explore the French quarter, we grabbed dinner at criollo where mayur was our server. He was SO knowledgeable and attentive and friendly. We were checked on by the manager, Mr. Dupree and this is where our stay really took off. He went over the whole list we’d brought with us to tell us what was really worth doing in the city! That guy? KNOWS New Orleans! He’s a gem. We spent several stops into the hotel chatting with him about the history of the city and it was an absolute pleasure feeling like we had a friend who worked there. He was also our tour guide if you will at the iberville tower cocktail experience at the carousel bar (lauren was our bartender, and just another testament to the service of the hotel!). It was an hour long and WELL worth it. Tim was the new manager on shift for the next few days and he picked up right where Dupree left off. He treated us like we were family at the property and made sure our dinner experience at le petit chef was incredible (another “to do” I highly suggest! The interactive dinner was such a cool experience.) our room was beautiful! The service superb! The hotel employees wonderful! I’m not sure we could ever stay somewhere else on a trip back to the cool city of New Orleans! (Honorable mentions of great employees was Wadzie at the front desk, and I believe it was either Roy or Ray at Criollo who assisted mayur). 10/10!!! Happy holidays to anyone lucky enough to spend time at the Monteleone.
