There were 4 adults and 2 children in our group. We all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and wanted to stay there for another week. Rooms were a good size and very clean, towels and bedding changed regularly. Food in main restaurant was good and plenty of choice for all of our different tastes. Most of the other restaurants were not open at the end of May, but we didn’t mind as perfectly happy with choice in main Restaurant. The German bar was open and the Pretzels were amazing. Evening entertainment wasn’t the best but we did stay to watch a couple of evenings when they brought in some acts. Massages in the Spa were great, definitely recommend. We walked to the old town in Nessebar, really not that far, would be 15 mins walk without kids, probably 25 mins with kids. Worth seeking out Michael’s Eco Bar for a drink stop while you’re there. We caught a taxi to Sunny Beach, taxi’s were 20 levs in the day time and 30/35 in the evening. It was busy and slightly edgy, wasn’t really my vibe, prefer things a bit quieter so only went once. Tips: if you have kids take a few extra levs to this hotel as there is a Candy Floss and popcorn machine (5 lev), also go carts (4 lev) and a Zorb (15 lev). The kids absolutely loved all of these. We enjoyed spending time at the beach by the hotel, free sunbeds if you’re staying at Palace. I would also recommend the beach towards the right of the hotel, a couple of minutes walk along, they do charge for sunbeds there but there’s a lovely beach bar called Llian’s Restaurant and Bar which serves great food. We did the Tui Catamaran Cruise, wonderful! Dolphins swam alongside the boat. Compared to what I would expect of a five star in the uk I wouldn’t say it’s five star, but had all the facilities we needed for a lovely holiday.
