Sunrise All Suites Resort- All Inclusive

Had the best half-term 7 day holiday. The receptionists were helpful and friendly, bar staff nice and chirpy, and above all, our thanks have to go to Galya who was fantastic with the kids and made our holiday that bit special. Food was decent, and was a short walk to the beach. I can't knock the place - it was an excellent get-away!

Worst hotel ever! No maid service, bathroom fittings hanging off walls. Food was repetitive and cold , no lounge bar, only ‘lounge ‘ is like a railway waiting room. Swallows nests in all the balconies

Alot of the reviews on here scared me after booking it but i'm gonna take you through it. We are a family of 6 and it was 500 euro per person with flights to go here with loveholidays for two weeks at the end of season which is amazing value! our transfers were with unitrans and i think they were about 70 euro which was the cheapest i could find and their customer service team are amazing! pros: great value you are fed and watered ALOT of times a day, you will not be hungry desserts are amazing entertainment staff are great they get everyone involved and its fun things like archery, shooting guns, beach dancing, I promise you will not be bored which makes up for being kind of in the middle of nowhere. Beach is a walk away its almost like the hotels own private beach and its lovely. Rooms are spacious and cleaned every day and come with some free drinks in the fridge. reception staff and bartenders are pleasant and helpful. salad bar is filled with everything and tastes great loads of fresh fruit and bread Loads of pools to enjoy and swim in, the place is massive. its not too hot or cold, there is a nice breeze due to the location quiet wild life is great for the kids to enjoy, we saw snakes, fish and frogs and loved watching them every morning, I've never seen a snake outside of a zoo so very interesting cons: the food isn't great and is very repetitive i have no problem eating local food as that is the idea of all inclusive , healthy good local food and drinks, i don't care for burgers chips and pizza i will go somewhere else if i really wanted that and half my family are vegetarian so we don't mind, but the food is not seasoned and is cold even if you are the first ones there to eat. i'm not a salt person but after this holiday i was, it was the only thing to make the food bearable after 2 weeks. but you can eat it just fine you wont be poisoned. we found ourselves craving to go out to dinner which is expensive for a family of 6 and taxis for families that size are expensive there too considering each town except obzor is about an hour away and the local bus is only 10 lev less than a taxi. i love the pancakes every morning but the chocolate spread didn't spread and was far too sweet to enjoy please consider a different brand or just Nutella in general. wine and beer is ok the drinks are not great. I found myself living off water as the soft drinks and juice are not branded and taste sugar free or far too sweet please consider changing to regular brands for soft drinks. I couldn't drink some of the spirits but I didn't mind because I'm not a big alcohol person, also it is limited to basic spirits so whiskey (don't drink the whiskey buy your own), vodka, tequila you can make the soft drinks bearable by adding lemon to them but this isn't always available when asked for :( the cocktails are just regular drinks nothing special just spirits and a dash. prices for the "special drinks" are about the same in euros so you are better off leaving the

First off we didn't arrive till 4am, but was greeted by a lovely receptionist, who (knowing we were tired) did her best to inform us of everything from onsite to off site that we needed to know. A little dissapointed to hear that the snack bar had closed prior to out trip, as this wasn't advertised online, we were looking forward to having burgers and kebabs as and when. But it wasn't too much of an impact. The room was nice, all be it a bit dusty (I'm quite tall so could see on top of the wardrobe, you could see where cleaners had made an effort to clean it but couldn't quite reach, and then after meeting them being about 5' each, they'd need a step ladder to be able to reach so was semi understandable), the back of the bed rest was the worst, but again no fault to the cleaners, unless they took all the beds out side and pressure washed them each time the type of material is just made for dust to stick to it, especially with all the little nooks and crannies. Food was nice, I'm a little more adventurous with my food and found something new every day. My partner who's autistic and can be pretty funny with food also brached out a little and tried something new, but was always happy to see plain chips, pizza, burgers, sausages ext that were "safe" if he couldn't eat anything else to offer. The Mediterranean and bulgarian night were interesting, but the lady stood by the table did put me off from going over, so I snuck up when she was otherwise engaged. The pastry bar, OMG, we would always come away with a plateful and stick some in our fridge for a late night snack, Ive never had pastry so good! So even if you have the taste buds of a 4yo, I would ignore the comments saying there was no variety because even my partner found something new every time. The animation team. The stars of the show at Sunrise! Especially Chris! (I didn't catch the name of the girl with Chris but she was also lovely and assisted with some of Chris' mad ideas. Chris seemed to be in charge of the entertainment during the day for adults, and with some being unwilling to get into the "cold" pools (if you're a true Brit, you'll stick to the "it's alright when you're in" motto and just get in anyway) to do activities such as water polo. The cocktail game had us all in stitches, and I can't remeber the name of it but Chis introduced us to another Bulgarian drinking game, where you had to knock a bottle over (it sounds dull but when you have 10 people throwing a ball at a bottle running round trying to drink their drinks as quick as, we attacted a crowd watching). Great fun being a young girl who can drink like a fish, demasculating 50+ y/o men who think they can drink faster than you. The beach is not that far away, a week prior to our stay my partner had dislocated his ankle and we still made it there in under five minutes and the walk is quite nice through the wild nature. Sunrise All Suites Obzor Bulgaria All Inclusive including drinks package We have never done this sort of holiday before so not knowing what to expect From us having a not too great experience with Wizz Air flying from Luton they are a nightmare this company adding £80 each for printing a boarding pass as we couldn't get online to the site as we found lots of others couldn't ( please change airlines ) to this country Arriving at 4 am to a pleasant you receptionist called Stephanie who was a pleasure Happy smiling face with a light snack & water to take to our room The whole experience Fabulous Clean rooms with excellent food including amazing desserts Drinks all day long incl spirits - a delicious rose wine See photos We had a choice of 3 beautiful clean pools with comfy sunbeds a great beach bar to with FAB beach Would highly recommend this place If you have kiddies there is nothing they would want as everything is there on the resort

We arrived at Sunrise all suites mid afternoon on Saturday 16th September. I did feel a little worried as we approached the building as there were cracked slabs and broken letters in the signage but we had nothing to worry about as it does look like an old building it also looks like they are mid way through an update. The rest of the hotel is lovely! The person who greeted us on reception was as friendly as all the staff, they were all good! It was the end of the season so a few things were closed, the A la Carte and the Snack bar by the pond, but we had no worries finding plenty to eat. I am a fussy vegetarian and there was always loads of salad, fruit, a different red and white pasta sauce each day to go with the ready cooked spaghetti but there was also always chips, potatoes vegetables and rice. Also, plenty of different types of meat every night for my husband, he was happy with the food too. We liked the way they use the Pastry bar for the cakes and desserts and had biscuits between 4pm and 5pm, perfect after a day on the gorgeous beach or by one of the pools. There was no problem getting sunbeds as they do not allow reserving so we always found one where we wanted one. We used the lobby bar in the evenings and a couple of times we could see empty dirty glasses in the sink and asked for them rather than a plastic cup and the bar person did wash a couple up for us but it was not at all busy so we didn't feel bad asking as I could understand not cleaning them if it was busy. The bar people were all friendly it just seemed like as it's the end of the season everything was winding down. We had a seaview room on floor 7, the lift was always in service, and it was amazing, catching a great sun rise every morning. Would definitely recommend Sunrise all suites, we will return!

Wasn't the best holiday we've ever had. The rooms wernt cleaned (the duvet had blood on it from previous guests),we had a leaky sink and the drainage in the shower wasn't working and smelt. The staff were miserable apart from one bartender lady who greeted us and knew what drink we wanted every time. The food was always cold and not much choice and variety. Entertainment was repetitive and not much of it. We joined one day of activities which was pretty good Not much variety on the all inclusive menu for drinks and the beach bar was only free until 6pm. The only thing was was the cleanest was the pool side. The toilets around the hotel were filthy and smelt. There isn't much indoor seating for if it's cold at night time. We have made the most of the pool side but other than that I don't think we will be returning here again.

We arrived in the early hours and we was given the key, wristbands and information on the hotel we was also given a packed lunch (which had sandwiches, fruit and water). When we got to the room we was upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment which was lovely. We had amazing view of the sea and pool from the back and a view of the hills from the other side. We had 2 chairs and a table and an airer on the balcony. Which was lovely to sit out in the evening. The only downside was the food it was the same every night and it lacked any spice. It was nice one day we had lamb and another day we had turkey. The beach was only 5 minute walk away and when we went the beach bar was still open which was a nice surprise as it said it would close the end of August.

I will start with the positives ! We had a lovely week away as a family of 5 the weather was amazing and the beach was great just so lovely to be together. A few of the staff were lovely others not so ! I was so disappointed that when we checked in we were given the map and told all the times for the little eateries like the snack bar and restaurant and pastry bar etc I was super exited to try gyros as I love them and on reading reviews saw good things about the other choices like burgers hotdog wraps etc! So I did on the first day get a gyros after queuing for 45 minutiae cos everyone was getting 2 at a time ! then after that the snack bar was closed and never opened again I was told by another guest it was due to the end of season however nobody informed us of that on booking or check in ! Same with the lakeside cocktail bar ! So our food was very limited one of my children only ate chips all week !! And although this isn’t any of the hotels fault the other guests were so greedy and quite rude snatching all the corn and grapes and having it piled up on their table to then not even eat any of it. My son waited patiently one morning for pancakes and as soon as the chef put 6/8 in 1 person would take the lot with no consideration to anyone else my son only wanted 2 pancakes !! Drinks were ok but we missed apple juice for the kids which is usually a staple drink for them so we had to source some from Obzor town. We popped the please clean our room sign on as the floor was getting bitty with sand and crumbs from 3 children that was then getting dragged into the beds but all they did was empty the bin and put new loo roll In once we put the sign out again and nothing so I spotted the cleaning equipment in the corridor and used the brush and pan myself. The beds weren’t super comfortable but we made do it was a nice big room for us though ! Tea and coffee was about 2 sachets and no milk good thing I took my trusty Yorkshire tea and sweeteners ! The pool was ice cold I couldn’t get in it nor could my baby infact there’s was hardly anyone in it most of the time ! The playground is in dyer need of upgrading some of the wooden steps were rotten there was broken toys thrown about and it was very dishevelled. When anyone asks me if we had a good holiday I say we did it was our first family abroad holiday so really nice to be together but I also say the people were rude and it was expensive. Food wasn’t great and when we ate out 6 of the 7 nights the menus at every place were almost identical so not much choice. And lastly the animation team were good but the entertainment was not focused at anyone but locals in our opinion and the paint a pot shed cost us £35 for 2 little pots .
