Glaronissi Beach

I booked and paid for the Glaronissi hotel a few months in advance. Closer to the time of the stay the hotel cancelled the booking without any explanation whatsoever, leaving me without accomodation. I believe they wanted to sell the room again for a higher price. Would be very wary of booking a hotel where they engage in such unacceptable practices.

This accomodation located right on Plaka beach was a great find in my holiday planning. From the moment you arrive the owner, Betty and her family make you feel very welcome. Our room was excellent and very clean with a big balcony. Breakfast is provided every morning.There is ample free parking on site, sun beds and umbrellas are also included, free for guests. There are many restaurants and bars around this location. Plaka beach is a great place to base yourself in. We had a car and travelled to a different part of the island every day returning back mid afternoon to spend the time on this beautiful beach. At night we left the car and walked to the restaurants. We spent the second week of October here, from the day we arrived some restaurants had closed down and a few more closed down whilst we were there along with a lot of other accomodation. It was actually a great time to be there as there was no issues traffic, getting a seat in a bar/ restaurant and the beach was virtually empty. Water temp still OK. I would definitely recommend staying here. A big thankyou to the resident maid who also made our time there a memorable one. Car hire. Dont use the big names. Highly recommend Akrogiali Car hire.Located at the port and returned at the airport.

The Glaronissi Beach Hotel was a wonderful experience with a friendly knowledgeable staff that go beyond standard services to help their guests. The beach accommodations were very comfortable with plush lounge chairs. The included breakfast had authentic fresh items and mostly locally grown. The rooms are very clean and fully stocked.

I had a horrible experience with booking this hotel! I cannot provide a review of the stay or the hotel itself, but my report will be about the hotel owner. My friends booked 3 nights at this hotel a month ago. Last week, I tried to make a reservation at the same hotel through a website recommended by Google. To my surprise, a day after making the reservation at this hotel, I received a message on my WhatsApp from a lady who claimed to be the owner of the hotel. She told me to cancel this reservation as the hotel would be closed on those dates. I immediately became suspicious because my friends who had made the same reservation previously through a different website had not received this message. I confronted her with this and she informed me that they would receive the same message soon. I informed my friends about what she had told me and sent an email to the hotel inquiring about this information. They replied from the official hotel email, confirming that the hotel would indeed be closed on those dates. The next day, one of my friends received a message from the hotel saying that they were checking the situation and would get in touch as soon as possible. I found this strange and contacted the WhatsApp number that had identified itself as the hotel owner once again. When I showed her the screenshot of the conversation my friend had received, the story began to change. After running out of arguments, the hotel owner stated that they would not be closing anymore, but I would have to cancel my reservation with the website I had used and book directly with them. According to her, the hotel no longer did business with that website. I then asked her, "Did you lie to me?" and she said it wasn't a lie, that I needed to focus on the solution, not the problem. When I questioned why she lied to me instead of telling the truth from the beginning, she mentioned that she thought it was a more professional way to handle it, but it became more complicated later on. When I stated that I would leave a review due to how she handled the situation, she threatened to report me if I did, but I cannot help coming here and explaining everything that happened because I no longer feel safe and comfortable staying at that place. I have all the conversations saved as screenshots.

Visited the Glaronissi Beach with my daughter on a trip around the Greek Islands. Booked last minute and sadly only for a 1 night stay. We were absolutely blown away by how wonderful this place is! Situated right on Plaka Beach, the rooms are immaculate, beautifully decorated and wonderfully clean, great air conditioning too which was very much needed in the heat! Our room had everything we needed and there was a complimentary bottle of wine too. Betty and her lovely family made us feel so welcome, we so wished we could have stayed longer, bur we will be back! Plenty of great restaurants and bars within easy walking distance, and the reserved sunbed area on the beach was great. Breakfast was excellent, all homemade and traditional and fab to be able to sit outside in the shade to eat. Can't recommend this place enough, thank you Betty and your wonderful family for making us feel so welcome!

Fantastic place. Rooms are set in the classic Cycladic style. Everything is cleaned and perfect. The structure looks new and the owner every year makes something new inside. You fell at home and you are in front to one of the most beautiful beaches in naxos. Breakfast is fantastic too!!! Really recommended.

My husband and I stayed here after our wedding in Crete, and we couldn't have been happier with our stay! Betty was so sweet and easy to work with, and really made us feel welcome. They even left flowers on our bed to say congratulations on our wedding. The breakfasts provided every morning always had a great variety different foods/fruits/etc. And Betty was so helpful with anything we needed from restaurant recommendations, to getting a shuttle to and from the port. The room we stayed in was exceptional! Plenty of room for the 2 of us, and the mattress was SO COMFY. We had a fantastic view of the beach and the crystal blue waters. It was literally a 1 minute walk across the street to the beach. There were also plenty of great Tavernas nearby and a couple grocery stores if you wanted to eat-in. I would also recommend renting an ATV for a day or two to get around the area. So many beautiful beaches to explore and it saves you the hassle and price of renting a car.

The hotel is very unique and individual, what we loved very much. The lovely beach is in walking distance (about 2 min). This hotel is the perfect place to slow down. The owners are super friendly and you feel like at home. We really recommend this hotel for couples as well as for families.

Excellent location, rooms are decorated with the Cycladic theme and fairly new and excellent condition. The family run business is rum with a passion to ensure that guests are happy. Breakfast was good, wifi even at the beach. Very clean with reserved sunbeds that were the best on Plaka beach. Walking distance to restaurants and a close mini market. Experience was restful and quiet. My Bluetooth speaker provided beach music to our liking.
