This little hotel is excellent on every level. We stayed for almost 3 weeks in what I believe was an entry-level room. It had a huge bed, 2 day beds and an ensuite as well as a fridge and a balcony. There were 2 sets of tables and chairs, one in, one out. The sheets and towels are changed every day, I was very impressed with the cleaning. Breakfast is incredible, even though we were staying a long time we were never bored with it. Each day there are different home made goodies to enjoy. You will never be hungry staying here. The location is on the quiet end of Plaka beach, around 10 minutes walk from the end of the bus route to Chora and a small supermarket. The bus takes 40 minutes to reach Chora and costs 2.80 Euros. There are a lot of restaurants within a short walk; if you don't mind walking further there are dozens to choose from too. The beach is 2 mins walk from the hotel, you will be able to see the sea from your room. It is a long, sandy, shallow beach very good for swimming and sunbathing. You can choose to wear clothes on the beach or not, no one will care either way. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Naxos.

A small, family run hotel. This place has all you could want for a relaxing, chilled break away from all the hustle and bustle of life. I could not recommend it highly enough. I have stayed a few times, so experienced more than one of the suites. They are each perceptibly individually designed and crafted. The beds are comfortable and all facilities you need are here. If you enjoy to relax and listen to the sea at night, make sure you have a room with a balcony, or you can just make the short walk to the beach and enjoy. The beach is one of the nicest I’ve experienced in Greece, long and sandy with no awkward pebbled or rocks. It is 100m, maybe 3 minutes walk away. Breakfast is provided by the family. Fresh and delicious with plenty to keep you going all day, or at least until you next crave some Greek cuisine. To eat, you will be able to find a number of traditional tavernas along the beach, ranging from 5 to 35 minutes walk from the hotel. Marios will provide a comprehensive guide to help you choose. If you want to stray further, a bus is available nearby to take you to the main town where there are few important, significant sights and places to eat/drink. Or you can plan to hire a car from the port, the airport or delivered to the hotel and explore further out into the island.

Such a fantastic host, always smiling, full of super helpful tips on where to visit on the island, where best to eat, and pointing us in the right direction to make our stay just so memorable. We loved the accommodation, super funky units with subterranean rooms to keep you cool in the heat.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Island Escape Naxos, thanks to the one and only Marios. It was without doubt the best hotel and service we have ever experienced. Marios instantly made us feel so welcome and at home. He arranged our pickup from the airport so it was so easy and smooth arriving. My partner and I had just travelled all the way from New Zealand so we were quite exhausted and jet lagged. Thankfully, Marios kindly made us coffee, showed us around and gave us a quick lowdown on Naxos. The perfect amount of information we needed for one day. We had the time of our lives. The hotel is located just a minute walk from the most beautiful Plaka beach. It is pure magic. The sand is soft and doesn't stick to you, the ocean is like silk. The beach such a wonderful energy. We wanted to stay forever. We stayed for 8 nights in the first week of June, the weather was perfect. Blue sky and sunshine every day. Marios brought out the most wonderful breakfast every morning! The best coffee and most delicious homemade Greek pastries. As well as fresh bread, fruits, eggs (just how we like them), greek yoghurt and local honey. It was the perfect way to start our day. We had unlimited information, local tips and laughs from Marios. He was born to host!! We honestly miss staying there so much!! We had the most beautiful upgrade and stayed in the Executive Suite Sea view. It had everything we needed. So beautiful, welcoming, clean, open and comfortable. We had the best sleeps in the huge comfy bed. The aircon worked really well but we liked sleeping with the windows open with fresh air. The shower was funky and we loved the atmospheric lights in the room at night. We had enough storage and a safe to keep our valuables. The wine in the mini fridge was absolutely delicious. The balcony was spacious with a nice view. We loved sitting on the balcony in the mornings and evenings in the sunshine, listening to the birds and the waves. The hotel is nice and small so its super quiet and peaceful. Anyone we met were so friendly and kind. Even Marios' cat called 'Grumpy' haha. The hotel is walking distance to lots of cafes and restaurants. It was fun going to lots of different spots for lunch and dinner. One of our favourite restaurants down the road from Island Escape was called 'Petrino Beach Restaurant' The food was so delicious and the service was superb! We hired quads for 5 days and Marios gave us the best tips on where to visit around the island. We found the most beautiful private beaches. We were also so glad we took Marios advice and went into the town centre to do the walk up to the Apollo Temple for sunset one evening and cocktails to follow. We stayed for 8 nights altogether. We were so sad to leave. We wished we had booked a second week! It was such great value for money. We could not recommend this enough. I have already got my friends and family to get it booked! We will certainly be back.

Island Escapes is a beautiful place to stay. The details in the rooms, the peace and Marios and his team are exceptional. The service and friendliness is wonderful that it feels like you are visiting friends. I return here every year and every year gets better and better. I absolutely cannot fault Island Escapes and i have already booked my next trip. The breakfast is incredible all made and prepared with such love and pride. Different home made cakes, jams, pastries each day- sitting on the veranda in the morning eating the delights of breakfast is a daily charm. Come visit you will not be disappointed

Incredible spot! I would highly recommended checking this hotel out. It was very clean, new, private, and had top notch service. If side note… if you want to explore the island I would rent a car. The return and rental was very easy and not expensive. Driving was laid back and not stressful. Great hotel! Check it out! We will return again! Thanks!

Me and my new wife spent 2 days of our honeymoon here, and I have to say that Marios and his wife along with Markos were by far the best hosts I have ever had in my life. They gave so many great recommendations and were available at any time of the trip for questions. They almost make you feel like family with their hospitality and warmth. There isn’t much going on in the area so I would definitely get an atv to get around but this is the place to stay if you visit this island. Oh yeah and Marios’ mom cooks homemade breakfast for the guests and it is phenomenal!

Naxos Island Escape was the perfect hotel for the four nights we stayed in Naxos. It is near the south end of the Plaka beaches, so it was very quiet and peaceful. The owner, Mario, was the ultimate host. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted with a welcome glass of wine. Mario sat down with us and provided a map and an overview of the island with suggestions for places to visit. Every day we were served breakfast cooked to order and always with accompanying bread, pastries, freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee, and fruit. The gorgeous beaches of the Aegean Sea are just a short walk. Mario opened his quiet patio bar in the afternoon offering various types of wine and drinks for guests who wanted a rest from the sun. Our room was lovely and cleaned daily with fresh towels provided. We also had ample space, unlike some rooms we've experienced in the past. We chose to rent a car to fully experience the island, and we were glad that we did so. Overall, we were very pleased with our decision to stay at Naxos Island Escape and highly recommend it as an excellent choice if you are visiting Naxos.

One of the most wonderful hosts we have ever had. Lovely property, short walking distance to gorgeous beach, with 5star hospitality. They provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants, day trips, and a home-away-from-home special touch! Highly recommend!!!!

We really lucked out by booking this place. The typical places close to Naxos town were all sold out so we ended up in Plaka. This is probably the best thing that happened. The property is located in a rustic part of the island with excellent access to the beach. The property backs up to farmland with horses and such giving it a ranch-like feel. The best thing about the place is the owner-manager, Marios. He is the true epitome of hospitality. Marios and Mark were the front-end folks we interacted with and both are quite fluent in English, kind to a fault and an endless source of advice on places to eat, things to see, local beaches and such. Marios' recommendations were spot on and seemed tailored to specific interests evidenced by his guests. For example, he recommended an outstanding restaurant in Naxos town for a vegetarian lunch (Elinikko), a very picturesque spot to visit on our drive through the mountains (Rotunda), and even a small local village to make a detour for sightseeing (Chalki). He also organized a car rental through his network with the car being delivered to us on the property for trip through the mountains - another must do. Among the pluses of the place are its location. You will recognize how blessed you are to be away from the chaos of Naxos town or even the beaches near Prokopios and Anna. There are a couple of great eating places close by (Petrinos for example) and you can easily get to Naxos by taxi for about 40 bucks. If you plan to stay for a long period of time, a car rental would be worth the investment. Short stays might not require a car however. The environment is very calming. The property is very well maintained and looks very clean, bright, and airy. While it is not the Four Seasons, it makes up with a ton of charm, beach access, and friendly hosts. We had nothing but the best experience here and would very strongly endorse it.

What a gem of a place! Marios has created a very special place here….a labour of love in building the beautiful suites on his grandparents’ potato farm, creating the beautiful furniture, but above all, running the best place I’ve stayed in on the Greek Islands, with the comfiest beds, tastiest homemade breakfasts, best cocktails and wine, and the warmest welcome! This is Greek hospitality at its best, and I will be back! Special mention also to Marc, and Marios’s wife, baby and Mum - they all work so hard to make it a wonderful experience! As Marios says on a daily basis ‘Relax….you’re in Greece…you’re on holidays’!

I could not have planned a better hotel for our friends vacation and my birthday celebration. The hotel is a true boutique hotel experience. I cannot thank Marios enough for all the time he spent in making our stay memorable. The hotel is quiet and beautiful…its location steps away from the beach and restaurants. The rooms are uniquely decorated. The breakfast was amazing and a true Greek experience. Marios helped us with so many logistics and assistance with so many extra requests. Thank you for all you did. We will be Bach to visit this beautiful island and hotel.

There are no words to describe the hospitality and service that my fiancé and I received during our stay! Island Escapes is by far the best hotel on the beautiful island of Naxos. The accomodation was amazing, it was immaculate, comfortable, and hand built by the owner Marios! Marios always had a smile on his face and was never too busy to sit down and have a chat, he made us feel like we were part of the family! Marios, my dear friend, thank you for everything.
