Sundunes Hotel Naxos

Came here for our honeymoon and while there were some lovely aspects, the resort didn’t quite offer the level of opulence we were hoping for on such a special trip. The location is excellent—close to town and easy to get around. Staff were friendly and helpful in many instances, and the beachside setup was convenient, though we did find some inconsistencies (like needing to pay extra for beach chairs and no pool towels readily available). That said, the overall atmosphere felt more family-oriented than romantic. The pool and restaurant areas are very close to the road, so it lacked the sense of seclusion and serenity we were hoping for. Small things like the absence of welcome drinks, robes, or “Do Not Disturb” signs also took away from the luxury feel. This might be a great option for families or groups looking for a convenient, well-located stay—but for couples or honeymooners seeking a more private, upscale experience, it may not be the best fit.

We just checked out of the sun dunes hotel in Naxos, Greece. My husband and myself and our two girls had a fabulous time! Great location right on the beach! Very clean, private and quiet at the hotel. Beautiful pool, we even had our own private pool at our two bedroom two bath accommodations. Breakfast was included, and it was fabulous! Highly recommend this hotel. The entire staff was very accommodating and helpful and super friendly. They have restaurants you can walk to as well. The Morris family.

Our stay at Sundunes was an amazing welcome to Greece. Nasos, the GM is exceptional! He greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the property and lots of great information. He treated us like we were his best friends, I cannot speak highly enough of his service excellence. He provided recommendations & showed great care for all his guests. He outshined anyone I’ve ever come across in the hospitality industry by a mile. However, all the staff made us feel like VIPs, big thank you to Alexandra & Renata! They were so accommodating, allowing us to check in early. Rooms are spacious with large lanais, beautifully designed with quality materials. We had spectacular ocean & sunset views. Gorgeous pool, although it was too cold & windy for us to get in. We visited very early in the season. Hands down, the BEST breakfasts we had. The greek yogurt was the DELICIOUS (& I don’t even like Greek yogurt)! No other place we visited compared. Lots of choices, eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit & juices, pastries, spanakopita, veggies….the list goes on! Delicious coffees, cappuccinos, Americanos. The beach is just across the the street with sun beds & umbrellas. I did miss having an available microwave to heat leftovers and an ice machine. Overall would highly recommend! Nowhere else made us feel as welcomed & cared for. Thanks Nasos & Sundunes!

SunDunes Hotel is an amazing place and just the place in which to relax and enjoy the wonderful scenery and hospitality offered on Naxos Island. The location is ideal being close to but outside of the busy Naxos town. It is also just a two minute walk from the most amazing and deep sandy beach, gently sloping into the blue and turquoise sea. The facilities are of an extremely high quality and the accommodation is extremely comfortable and containing everything that could be possibly needed for an enjoyable stay. The whole site is spotlessly clean and a credit to the staff involved. Finally, the aspect that makes any time spent at SunDunes so much of a pleasure is the high quality and totally caring and friendly staff. The manager, Nasos, is incredibly welcoming, pleasant and efficient and his lead clearly rubs off on the entire team. They really are of the highest quality. I recommend a visit to SunDunes without reservation.

We stayed at the Sundunes or Dunes as the locals call it October 5-12 2024. We were dropped off by our Taxi driver and from that moment we entered the ZONE...a zone of comfort, relaxation and some of the friendliest staff i have ever encountered in my 40 years plus in the Hospitality business. Nasos,the GM welcomed us and even though we were a bit early, they were prepared for us. A welcome cocktail and description of the property and its many amenities took a few minutes and then we were escorted to our room, upgraded and it was very spacious and as advertised. everything is relatively new as this resort is new...truly a great resort with pool and beach! the daily breakfast offered variety from cereals and breads to eggs and cheeses. most importantly if they didn't have something you wanted and it was possible for them to make it, they did it. that extended to Lunch and Dinner as well. As a vegetarian i was given many choices, all of them were great. The beach was beautiful and just steps away from the pool and the main buildings. There are exceptional restaurants within a short stroll either way from the Hotel. At least 5-6 restaurants to choose from if you wanted. also the local bus service for less than 5 Euros round trip brought you to the port town of Naxos and all of its shopping and restaurants as well. The poolside bar and its resident bartender Chris made us drinks as per our request and he offered us many different choices as well that were local or one he liked. Similarly, Alexandra at the restaurant always had a smile and was ready to serve whatever food and coffee we requested. The resort as you can see from the pictures speaks for itself...the people from the GM down to housekeeping made it a very memorable stay for us. Nasos, Alexandra, Chris, Sophia, Christina, George, Alex and the list goes on and on...all of them made it an amazing week. A great resort for a wonderful get away, a day or a week like we had...be prepared and forewarned though. You will make some great lifelong friends and that to me is priceless!!

What a find.Would highly recommend .Beautiful location short distance from the beach.lovely room ,pool and food.Staff were fantastic and the manager Nassos went the extra mile and drove down to the airport when our luggage went missing. See you next year
