Sun Moon Lake Teachers' Hostel

The lobby to this place has some neat things to look at while waiting around.. Otherwise the rooms here feel quite simple and minimalistic. There were also some ants on the floor of our room... If it weren't for that, this place is absolutely fine for a quick stay. The balcony view of the lake is STUNNING. I don't know if it was the timing (with an approaching typhoon the next day) when we stayed here but this place was actually quite quiet - not too many people around, so I enjoyed the peaceful, roomy, and tropical atmosphere. There is a breakfast buffet in the morning that is quite nice: Different types of bread and buns, noodles, fruits and vegetables, etc. with a nice view. The only thing without a cover for the food was the desserts.. I mention this because there is the occasional fly. At the end, card keys have to be returned~
