La Villa Balat

We had a wonderful and perfect time in this little and very cosy B&B. Muriel gave us many tipps where to go and what to visit and was allways more than helpful and friendly. The breakfast served in her own dining room was perfect and due to the fact, that most of the foods are homemade more than delicious. Our room with a little balcony was very cosy and we felt like at home. Thank you so much for your friendship and hospitality.

We found this B&B just by looking on the map for a location to stay in Namur, away from the downtown, but close enough to walk. We couldn’t have been any happier we chose Villa Balat! Muriel is a charming, helpful, attentive host. Her villa is comfortable, her breakfasts amazing, but best of all she really cares about the comfort of her guests. If you find yourself in this part of Belgium, Namur is a lovely city with a surprising number of Michelin rated restaurants, and Villa Balat is the place to stay. Thank you Muriel!

Durante il nostro soggiorno a Namur abbiamo scelto di alloggiare presso il b&b La Villa Balat perché ci sembrava semplicemente meraviglioso (come effettivamente si è dimostrato) e perché si trova in posizione strategica alla fine dell’enjambée, la passerella pedonale che consente di arrivare in centro in un attimo. Il b&b dispone di tre camere da cui si godono viste spettacolari del Parlamento Vallone e della Cittadella. In particolare, la camera Balat dispone di una terrazza privata con giardino d’inverno. Deliziosa la colazione composta da prodotti del territorio.Su richiesta è disponibile un garage privato.

Magnifique villa idéalement située à la confluence de la Meuse et de la sambre. Il n'y a que 3 chambres, mais quelles chambres ! Tout est d'époque et soigné dans les moindres détails. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux, l'hôtesse charmante et amicale. Ça c'est de l'accueil ! Accès libre à la bibliothèque où on peut se servir de bières locales et les déguster dans le jardin qui est un autre petit bijou. A recommander absolument pour les amateurs de beau, de plongeon dans le temps et de détente .

Een magisch verblijf in een prachtige villa met kenmerken van de tijd van toen. Art nouveau stijl. Overheerlijk ontbijt met lekkere verse koffiekoeken, yoghurt, chocopasta, brood, koffie,..en servies uit de jaren 1900. Aan details geen gebrek. Je waant je in 1900 als je in het salon zit. Vriendelijke ontvangst en vlotte bediening. Je auto staat veilig in een gesloten garagebox. Deze villa is 300% een aanrader.

Tegenover het punt waar Sambre en Maas samenkomen ligt de villa Balat, een statig gebouw aan de Maas vlak naast de voetgangersbrug die je direct in het centrum van Namen brengt. Balat was de architect die ook verantwoordelijk was voor de bouw van de Koninklijke Serre's in Laken (Koninklijk paleis). De B&B heeft een aantal kamers, 2 jaar terug waren we hier ook, in de Balatkamer, suite verwoord het beter.. Grote kamer, groot (uitstekend) bed, een aparte badkamer met een ligbad op pootjes en een inloopdouche, deze kamer geeft toegang tot een privé terras op 1-hoog, met een serre, ideaal bij minder weer, en een fantastisch uitzicht over de Maas, aan de andere kant het Waals Parlement, daarboven de citadel. De zeer charmante gastvrouw zal tips geven over haar stad, over de omgeving, over het huis. Het huis is een museum op zich, boeken, kunst, beeldjes, prachtig meubilair. Het ontbijt is ook fantastisch, verse broodjes, kaas, charcuterie, zelfgemaakt fruitsap, jam.. koffie, een eitje (de kippen lopen in de tuin). Kortom, een aanrader voor wie eens een paar dagen in een andere wereld wil verblijven.

Quelle expérience. Pas une faute de goût. Très belle vitrine pour la ville de Namur. Vue exceptionnelle sur la Citadelle et le conflent. Petit déjeuner très généreux. L'accueil est professionnel et convivial.

Très agréable séjour, réservé sur un "coup de coeur" après avoir découvert précédemment la Villa Ballat lors d'une promenade sur "l'Enjambée". Service attentionné , petit déjeuner copieux et sur mesure. Situation idéale pour atteindre le centre ville historique, la citadelle et bien sûr les quais qui eux aussi valent la promenade.
