Wonderful people, speak great English, great place to stay, also very close to tram, 7/11 & shopping.
I really enjoyed my stay. I would definitely be staying there again.

全国の旅行割引もあり、それに土曜日でもあり、１週間前の長崎予約は、どこもバカ高いところばかりでした。リーズナブルな価格のホテルは全滅でした。格安の「ペンション」のこちらに「空室あり」でしたので、楽天トラベル経由で予約をしました。予約で次のようなことがありました。 １）素泊まり6,000円。予約後、このペンションのご主人から電話がありました。この予約では、全国割引対象にならないから、一度、楽天からの予約をキャンセルしてくれとのこと。その電話で、7,000円の朝食付きという予約に切り替えられました。 ２）そうか、朝食付きでないと「旅行割引」の対象にならないのか、とその時思いました。ま、いいか。無理して朝食食べるか、ということにしました。 ３）チェックインの時、「朝食はどうしますか？」と聞かれたので、あ、朝食とらなくていいのか、と想い「朝食は結構です」と応えました。ただ、料金は朝食付き7,000の値段でした（支払価格は全国割引にて４割引き）。え？と思いましたが、小さな差額なので、まいいかと飲み込みました。 ４）朝、ドアの外で奥さんから声をかけられました。「朝食は〇時までになってます」という呼びかけ。「いえ、朝食は結構です」と応えました。朝食いらないと言ってただろ、と心の中でつぶやきました。 ５）チェックアウトの時、こちらの方から謝りました。「朝食抜きと言ってたつもりでしたが、失礼しました。料理をムダにさせて申し訳なかったです」と。 ご主人「はい」とだけひとこと。 ダメだこりゃ、と思いました。チェックイン時、耳が悪いせいで、当方の朝食不要を聞き違えたのかとも思いましたが、当初の楽天予約キャンセルについても、何の説明もなかったし、悪くかんぐれば、楽天への手数料を節約するため、それと朝食付きで単価を上げるため、そんなせこい意図から、（当方にとって）不明瞭な宿泊料になったのかとも思いました。 というのも、ご主人の態度が、とても客商売のレベルではないのです。 「ペンション」と名がついてるから、チェックイン時、こちらも家庭的なイメージを勝手に想像し、昔話などしても愛想なし。 この日、私は数十年ぶりの高校の同窓会なので、ひょっとしたら、羽目をはずして「門限の１１時」に遅れる可能性もあります。そこで「もし１１時に遅れたら、どうすればよいでしょう？」と聞いたら、昔々の役人みたいに、「１１時になったら鍵を閉めます。あとは朝の７時（８時？）にならないと入れません」とのこと。 いや、門限はこちらも守るつもりです。万が一のことを聞いてるんです。ダラダラ遅れることはありません。なのに、もうすこし客商売らしい、ものの言い方があるでしょう。若い人だって、相手に言いにくいことを言うときには、頭に「申し訳ありませんが」とか「恐れ入りますが」くらいの言葉を付け足すことはできます。 ご主人は、７０歳少し前とのことでした。もう無理はしたくないから、とのことをおっしゃってました。 私はご主人より、少し年上ではあります。色んな客商売を経験したり、指導や管理を行ってきましたが、ここのご主人は、もうリタイアされた方がよいように思いました。これ以上、ご本人もやってて面白くなさそうだし、何より、お客様に不愉快を与えることで、せっかくの長崎の思い出などがスポイルされる恐れが大いにあります。他にもお客様の声として、不満やクレームめいたものがあります。他のサイトでも同様のコメントを見かけました。 そろそろお考えになったほうがよいと思います。ここの記述がご主人に届きますよう思っております。
