Kabini River Lodge by Jungle Lodges

It was out first time at Kabini and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at River Lodge. The stay was comfortable. We were impressed with the meticulous organisation of the safari rides. Special mention to our driver Muthu who kept us engaged with his knowledge on calls and alert signs of the jungle. Thanks to him, we were in time to spot a tiger and leopard. Overall, an unforgetable experience!

We opted for the Maharaja package, as suggested due to its maximum jeep safaris. It was worth every penny. From the room view, room amenities, amazing food spread ( simple , tasty and homely) , number of jeep safaris and ambience. We loved our stay. Ravi, our assigned naturalist for our safari, was knowledgeable and tried his best to chase the majestic beast for its sighting. Since it rained , we were unlucky this time, but just being inside this beautiful forest , was an experience to remember. We will definitely come back , to see the majesty again Thank you JLR Kabini for a truly memorable experience ❤️

Great experience at the JLR Kabini River Lodge. Staff is friendly and helpful, and the stay was comfortable, and rooms were clean. Food is delicious with variety of options. Just one suggestion - There must be an age limit set for kids as they tend to make a lot of noise during the safari which scares the animals away and ruins the experience for true wildlife enthusiasts.

Extremely well organised - once you arrive everything is taken care of for you. I stayed in a well furnished room facing out onto the river allowing me to enjoy the beautiful view. The old colonial era bar in the centre is a nice touch and adds history and atmosphere. The staff are extremely friendly and the safari guides are excellent - I really felt that they tried their best to get us the opportunities to see the elusive tigers and leopards. I would thoroughly recommend it!

This was our third visit to Kabini River Lodge in the last 3-4 years and we keep going back because it is the best experience you can get in south India if you love wildlife. The safaris into the Nagarahole national Park are a delight, and the guides at the Lodge are experts with the park, the wildlife, and have a great respect for their place of work. The safaris start on time, we get to spend enough time watching the birds and smaller animals, though of course, a sighting of the big cat is the most exciting. The rooms are great, facing the Kabini reservoir, the food is good. The entire staff cares about making the stay comfortable. We will be back!

The guides on the jungle bus and on the morning boat were well informed and patient in finding animals and birds. We fortunately saw a tiger but also lots of deer, gaur bison, elephant, wild boar My biggest disappointment was having to pay over Rs1000 for each afternoon and morning trip into the forest to use my 70-300mm lens. I am not a professional just a happy snapper. No information of the size of the fee is mentioned in their website.

Jungle lodges… my go to place , for peace and oneness with nature. Each safari we took was a wealth of knowledge, imparted by the guide CR Nagesh, with superb tracking skills, cheerful nature, vast information about the Jungle. How lucky we were to see Madame Tigris twice to sight a pack of dhols at play, to see eagles, and Hawks, the Samba and Peacock dancing ……..Bliss! It was heaven !! About the room comfortable as always, the food the same. Yes the people who served us are very courteous and my sisters who had come from abroad really enjoyed the experience. Jungle Lodges…..This is my fourth visit and I will keep coming.

A nice ambient stay in a old British Bungalow setting with wooden cottages and a lovely gazebo dining area.. it had a engaging open air kids play area with variety equipments.. a open air gym.. and an awesome riverside setting.. Both the safari's (boat and jeep) were immersive and for a good duration.. a lovely experience altogether... it was good value for the package cost althroughout!!!
