My stay at Sandesh The Prince in Mysore has been very memorable. Gandhi's quote, "...a customer is the most important visitor on our premises, the customer is doing us a favour by giving us the opportunity to serve him," is truly embodied by the staff at Sandesh. My first contact was with Sasi Kumar, the manager during booking. He offered me a great deal, which convinced me to extend my stay. My room is spacious, very clean and serviced daily, with a bar and small fridge. The hospitality of all the staff members is incomparable. The receptionists, particularly Mugil, always greet you with a smile and are eager to provide the best service. The waiters in the restaurant are extremely polite and knowledgeable about their menu options. I often order the checheri (a rice and dhal dish), and it is the best I've tasted. The complimentary breakfast is excellent, offering a very wide variety of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, ***** with a great selection of fruit and cereal. Although I am not a big eater, the food is so scrumptious it is hard not to overindulge 😊. Ashwaq from the travel desk has provided me with excellent guidance on tours, taxis, and other travel arrangements. As a solo traveller, I feel very safe. I decided to extend my stay for 10 days because of the outstanding service. I regularly use the clean pool and gym. Mangunath gave me a personal training session, which was very challenging, so I have booked another session. The best part? These personal training sessions and yoga sessions are all complimentary of the hotel. During one session, I noticed another gym user who was having a yoga session. So I asked whether I could have a yoga session from Supriya afterwards. He asked Supriya to provide me with a yoga session straight away, cutting his session short. The yoga was a mixture of Hatha, Vinyasa, and meditation, with beautiful instructions. It was only after the gym user left that I was told that he was the MD of The Prince. I could not believe the humbleness, and he treated me more importantly than himself. I will be continuing my yoga sessions online with Supriya when I return to the UK, where I reside. Additionally, The Prince is conveniently located in the city, making travel around Mysore very easy. Oh, and here's something funny: while Kannada is the local language in Mysore, everyone at Sandesh The Prince speaks fluent English. So, even though I tried learning a few Kannada phrases, the staff would always respond in perfect English, making me feel right at home. I am also making arrangements to run a yoga retreat in India, and on my return next year, I will surely be staying here. The staff will be making arrangements for our stay, and I look forward to this. A massive thank you to all the staff at Sandesh The Prince for making my stay so unforgettable!
