The hotel is amazing, truly such a wonderful experience, from good rooms, good balcony, good bathrooms, to being well maintained, the only huge negative in my experience was their restaurant & food. Portion sizes are small which would be justified if the food tasted good. The kasturi kebab on day 1 was dry and didn't even have salt, the broccoli creme soup as well as the lemon grass soup were also equally bland, couldn't taste the broccoli, nor did it even have salt. Same story on day 2, when we asked for a beautiful birthday decoration+ dinner, the deco was wonderful, dinner was again a let down. Their lemongrass pulao is probably the worst thing I've ever had, not even adding salt could salvage it, horrible. Plus they levy 10% Service Charge without our consent which is illegal and cannot be appreciated by guests, especially since we already tipped the staff generously. The breakfast spread is also very sus, I found a bug in the cinnamon roll, spotted something floating in the milk jar, the restaurant is truly the sore spot. The reception desk is fine, the room service ladies are wonderful, but my experience was definitely a mix bag.

We recently stayed at Royal Orchid Metropole in Mysore for 2 days. This 104 year old heritage hotel, originally built by the Maharaja of Mysore in 1920, perfectly blends old-world charm with modern elegance. The architecture, with its imperial arches, impressive pillars, and flamboyant corridors, takes you back in time, while the luxurious amenities make for a comfortable stay. We stayed in the Luxury Heritage room with a lawn view, and it was both spacious and beautifully designed. The grand bath tub was a treat. Another highlight was the horse cart ride arranged by the hotel, which took us around the palace—such a unique experience that truly m atched the grandeur of the property. The dining options were top-notch too. We enjoyed meals at Shikari, their outdoor barbecue restaurant and Tiger trail. Overall,We loved the peaceful & tranquil environment of this property and the warm hospitality by the staff. The best part is they are not over priced too. A perfect stay to feel like royalty. Highly recomended

Even before stepping through the door, you had an amazing impression of the hotel. The aura is just perfect, and from the get go you could see how welcoming and friendly the staff are. They were always happy to help with a smile, and worked very efficiently. The room we were in was the right mix of modern with the old decadence of the building. The restaurant too was very good - I would highly recommend the tandoori chicken. Every touch, from the PS4, to the perfect little pool I spent at least 2 hours in - all perfect. I can’t recommend this hotel more!

Hotel continues to be amongst the top few of favourites. It has everything. Great ambiance, lovely rooms and a great restaurant. There are a few who go all the way to make you feel special. Ms Vanajakshi, Mrs Bhagyashree NG, Mr Krishna and of course Mr Jagadeesh. Best time of the day is mornings. Walk ***** the stoned path amidst green and the blue above. Absolutely awesome

Our two days stay here was amazing. Staff was excellent with their polite behaviour and prompt service. The only thing that bothered us was very expensive,that is , even the dal and chapatis. But keeping aside this overall experience was very good.

The best hotel in Mysore. The way it is built is like a kingdom. The people here are so friendly and there is even a PS4 i spent lot of tiem there. Royal orchid has to be the best hotel branches in india. They never disapoint me. The rooms are so good. The bathrooms are also good. With a bathtub too. The food was also good there. I really recommend coming here. It is the best. :) Thank you royal orchid metropole for the stay.

Royal Orchid Metropole Mysore offers a delightful blend of heritage charm and modern comfort. The rooms have been very nicely and thoughtfully renovated, preserving the classic elegance of the property while adding contemporary touches that enhance the overall experience. The attention to detail in the room design is impressive, creating a cozy yet luxurious ambiance that makes you feel right at home. However, while the asset quality is commendable, the service is still somewhat hit and miss. There were moments of excellent service, where the staff was attentive and responsive, but these were interspersed with lapses that detracted from the overall experience. Simple requests were occasionally overlooked, and there were delays in addressing certain needs. The Royal Orchid Metropole has the potential to be a top-tier destination in Mysore, thanks to its beautiful renovation and historic charm. However, to fully match the quality of its rooms, the service needs more consistency and attention to detail. With some fine-tuning in this area, this hotel could easily become one of Mysore’s premier stays.
