When I first saw the Parador I felt bad for the mountain it was placed on. Apparently Spain/Parador organization found it suitable to place it so far from the town that you have to take a decent hike / taxi just to get anywhere. There is no sunset view, the pool is off limits and serves as a fishtank without fish not to mention that it has the atmosphere of a Steven King novel. The spa has no complementary drinks and they give you an hour and a half time window to rush through all the different attributes. Apparently this “luxury” hotel was gifted after a big disaster but I would argue that the parador itself is a bigger disaster, at least you can clean up the oil spill, this f*****g thing will be there until the end of days. Big saving grace is it’s very kind and professional staff, also the rooms are nice but when you walk out on the balcony you realize that it’s just a daycare for rich people. The food is bland but good quality ingredients. If your biggest attraction is the f*****g elevator, you know something is wrong. The whole building should be repurposed as a migrant center so it at least contributes some good to the world. The parador stands in sharp contrast to the beautiful town of Muxia ☯️
