Excellent service . No option for any complain . All staffs were always ready to serve you. Even they arranged what was not mentioned against request . Evening boat ride with snacks , vegetables from garden and different new food were well arranged .

We went to Bari Kothi for our anniversary and had the most amazing experience. Their communication was very straightforward right from the booking process. They make sure to ask about any food preferences/allergies beforehand and provide full support so that you can reach their location easily. The Kothi is absolutely breathtaking, full of history and beautifully restored. The rooms are well appointed and offer modern luxury while being furnished in the nawabi style. The staff are very friendly and helpful and they made our stay very special. They even arranged a lovely candle light setting for our anniversary dinner and even a really nice cake. While exploring the place, I overheard the kitchen staff in happy conversation with each other; they are truly like a family and that shows in the way they keep the place running smoothly. The meals are delicious, the style of cooking is unique and the food is served in palatial dining rooms on beautifully set tables. Lunch and dinner were five course meals that spoke of the history and heritage of the original dwellers of this palatial mansion. In the evening some of the staff were singing and playing tabla in the music room. Downstairs, a baul performance was then arranged with tea and snacks. In the morning we visited some local terracotta temples, then had a wholesome breakfast on lovely arbors overlooking the Ganges while a skilled flute player played in the background. We had a really great experience and since the road from Kolkata is now greatly improved, we plan to visit again soon.

Bari Kothi is an amazing heritage hotel. The rooms, with four-poster beds, are big, clean, comfortable. Everything has been thought of: evening boat, breakfast on the ghat, evening baul singers. The staff are wonderful and are always present to make sure everything is done right. The day-tour of the area - by auto - was with great local guides. Meals are served in different dining areas to give the full experience of this extraordinary property. We found the quantity of food a bit overwhelming, but the quality of the food was excellent.

I am delighted to share good words about our experience at Murshidabad trip and stay at Bari Kothi. It is certainly a great holiday destination in West Bengal with tourism that is of historical significance, standards of hospitality of international standards, and with the warmth and love that is so culturally intertwined with India. Bari Kothi - means the home of the older brother in a household. My friend and I were touched with their excellent hospitality. The staff, room service are great, and they serve ‘sheherwali Murshidabad vegetarian cuisine’ - a feast of historic significance reflecting a historic fusion of the cuisine of the Rajasthani Jain bankers who moved to Bengal and their cuisine evolved under the influence of Bengali culture and incorporating the Bengali spices. The food is so delicious and memorable and quite an eye opener of how tasty vegetarian food can be. We were impressed with our observations that this establishment has provided employment and in-house training for local women many of whom are tribal Santhal, as well as some others who have hearing and verbal impairment. The staff attended to our every needs promptly and efficiently, with a smiling face. They have also taken utmost importance to cater to my requirements and provided a really knowledgeable English speaking guide and e-rickshaw transport. It was lovely to see a plastic- free experience and environmental awareness I will highly recommend Murshidabad for a holiday break, and a stay at Bari Kothi to revisit Indian history and also as a very comfortable stay in Bengal.

The most wonderful place and probably the highlight of our three-week trip to East India. After missing our train from NJP, we arrived by car in the early hours, but were still welcomed by the manager and over ten other staff. The building is beautifully-restored, the area is very interesting (we went on a morning tuk-tuk tour to Murshidabad) and the cuisine was top-notch. Dinner in the Mughal Room was particularly special. Thank you Bari Kothi, for lingering fond memories..

Bari koti is ideal for a group who wants to enjoy quality time and experience warm hospitality with sumptuous home style food. The staff is amazing and ready to cater to your whims. The rooms were neat and impeccable. Property was well maintained and decorated. Lots of selfie points. Baul songs and Dance reminded me of my school time. What a delightful experience! The highlight was breakfast by the Ganga, a must experience for River lovers like me. Special mention to Sandhya ji and Abhiroop for wonderful services. Wishing you all the best !
