Iberostar Selection Albufera Park All Inclusive

We have just come back from our first family holiday and am already looking to book again for next year.  My son is 8 years old and is autistic so was a bit nervous taking him abroad for the first time. The holiday couldn't have been any better.  We arrived early 13.00 and the first thing I have to say is the smell when u walk in is so fresh. The reception is big and open and just has a really upmarket feel to it. The room wasn't ready so we put our luggage in the hold got some swimming stuff on and headed straight for the pool, as soon as the room was ready we got a call from reception.  We stayed in room 3301 which is in the reception area. My son stayed in the bedroom which was great as it had no access to a balcony (just a window u could not open. Again this gave us peace of mind he wouldn't escape in the middle of the night.  We ended up sleeping on the sofa bed which was very comfortable. The room was very modern as was the bathroom.  The only downside to the room was at night if kids were in reception crying or shouting it really echoes and u could hear everything in the room. It didn't wake my son up but it woke us up a few times.  Also there is a sensor that detects when u are in the room so if u want charge any devices while u are out it won't work. On a plus note your key card is on your bracelet so means u don't need to worry about forgetting your key  The food and drink was exceptional. Gin was Bombay and the rum was Havana so big thumbs up to that. They have a cocktail list u can choose from but can ask for other stuff that isn't on there. I had a few espresso martinis Lager is mahou which just takes likes any other generic lager. Nice and refreshing. They do hand out Coronas sometimes near the pool.  We didn't book any restaurants as my son was happy at the buffet.  The highlight for me was the roof top with amazing views and a chilled out vibe.  My son loved the bouncy ball in the pool spent many an hour on there. Also the mat they rolled out in the afternoon u could run along. His favourite night was the Disney frozen show. The night time entertainment was on a bit too late for him though as he struggled to stay awake for them. Lots of brilliant stuff on though  This has definitely been the best hotel I've stayed at with it's location right on the beach the excellent food and drink and the overall cleanliness of the place with amazing staff We all can't wait to come back and visit again  Thanks Lee 

This was our third stay at this location, but our first stay at Albufera Park. Previously we stayed at Albufer Playa. The Albufera Park and Albufera Playa are combined and thus makes a big resort with several pools and restaurants. I will start with some recommendations: - Download the Iberostar app before you leave home and get familiarized with the hotel. - As soon as you checked in, book table at some of the theme restaurants. They are very popular and difficult to get a table at. - The entertainment is great, especially at nighttime. - Send the kids to the activities for kids. They are good. We stayed for a week and really enjoyed it. The service at the hotel is excellent and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is good and there is always plenty to choose from. This is all-inclusive, but the standard is high and there is never an empty tray. Although we had a hired car, we did hardly leave the resort. It was just too nice :). The room was really nice. It was for 4 persons and plenty of space including a terraces. All in all this comes down to the great staff working here. They are so friendly and helpful and you fell so welcome.

Lady at reception should have got her name so nice and helpful went beyond to check us in, wish some of the others was present and lovely, Room amazing beds comfy lots of space pool view, maid was amazing and lovely, when she had 2 days off the other maid not as great with cleaning, Overview of hotel amazing massive kids loved the pools beach so close, rooftop was amazing, Restaurant a variety of food Italian chef made sure kids had something they liked if didn't he bought them food out what they liked that was amazing, the drinks on arrival for dinner was amazing, the last 2 days no theme and was not a lot to choose from, wanted to ask but didn't get round to why restaurant didn't have theme and no drinks on arrival, Apart from that would definitely go to this hotel and recommend it, Also forgot to say the pool guy went beyond to get us an umbrella as had a few arguments with the Dutch to taking my towels off and having the beds for themselves as their all the same colour towels their should be some system as it disgusting people leave towels down all day and not even use the beds,

The Iberostar website doesn't do the hotel justice. We stayed from 4th to 14th June 2024 in room 2107, which was a premium family room with garden view. It overlooks the garden and trampoline just outside of reception. We travelled as a family with a 3.5 year old. Would come back again. Its worth nothing that hotel is a shared complex of 3 buildings, comprising of both Albufera Park and Albufera Playa. They share the same facilities, its just Albufera Park is closer to water park and play activities, whilst Albufera Playa has the normal pool and hot hub closer. Your choice of room is likely to have an important impact on your enjoyment based on what matters to you given the range of onsite amenities. Do you want to by directly outside the park/water bucket/splash park, or do you want a short walk. Our son is autistic, and having him in close proximity but not directly outside them was great. Firstly, the NFC wristbands that give you access to your room is a game changer. Everyone should do this. The fact I can just walk out and go to the beach in just my swimming gear then back to the room and swipe in without a key I could have lost is a freeing experience. Add to the fact, everyone has a band there is no need to keep swapping keys between family members so they can go to the room. The room is good, split between parents and children, where children have dedicated area in the living room. Plenty of space, although more coat hangers or drawers in the parents bedroom would have been useful. Balcony has 2 chairs and table, and area to dry clothes. The bathroom is good, great shower, powerful and warm water. There are multiple parks, one just outside the hotel and another alongside the side of the hotel, directly accessible from floor 1 rooms B1 block on that side. There is a splash park with water buckets next to the park. On to the main pools, there are 4, one with an inflatable dome that can be climbed, 2 more shallow pools with a small and big water slide, and finally the main pool that is about 7ft deep at the max, but all entry points are swallow so safe for kids. The main pool had a range of activities on different days like slides, floating mats, foam party's. You can of course access the 3 normal pools located at Albufera Playa which is a 1 minute walk away if you want something quieter. To add to this, there are also infinity pools located on the roof which are accessible by stairs or elevator. Access to the beach is easy, less an a minute walk you can get into the sea, and with rooms close to the beach access you can there from your room very quickly depending on your room choice. Wi-fi availability is good, 130Mbps download, you can even just about get it on the beach next to the life guard tower. The food was in my opinion average, fine for the price paid, its not a criticism given most hotels I have stayed at can cost almost 50% more (Maldives, Mauritius, Galapagos islands) so it is what I had expected. Cleanest hotel Iv ever visited and food was great. What more could you ask for. Rooms beautiful and great for families. Entertainment was entertaining. The kids loved it. Pools are huge with more the enough space for everyone although the towel placing is annoying. This is not the hotels fault it’s the guests. More variety of pool games would have been good. There’s only so much pool carpet you can take. If you have extra suitcase weight take your inflatables with you as the shops will sting you. Staff were so helpful I saw them tackling a lot of problems from picky people extremely well. Supermarkets are only over the road but walk down more the first ones prices are high as they know you will go there. You have access to all facilities in the hotel next door. The beach is a stone throw which is ideal and the sea is crystal clear. The only thing I could moan about is the distance from the airport, if you have small children and silly timed flights. I wish it was closer to Palma airport but you have the benefits of it not being so busy. All in all we have the best most relaxing/ fun filled 2024 holiday! We’ve just got back from a week at this resort and really loved our time there. The place is so beautiful, clean and the staff are fantastic. Our daughter went to star camp for the first time as she’s just turned 4, she loved the variety and the helpers who were super friendly. I would recommend for families with younger children (6 and under), so much to do and perfect location next to a lovely gentle beach. Only downsides for us… our meal at the Spanish restaurant which was a bit slow (we didn’t manage to book the other restaurants) and the business / noise around the poolside, however there are plenty of quiet areas if you need some space (roof pool was fantastic). All in all 5* holiday and we loved it, thank you so much Iberostar Albufera Park!
