Hotel Metropole Inn

It was just a one day business trip. So, I thought I would book into the nearest possible (to my work location) accommodation available, with a decent enough rating. Did not care to check the TA reviews in detail and that turned out to be the da****er. No complaints on the location of the hotel and the amenities and cleanliness in the room. But the fact is, there is not enough space in the property to effectively turn this into a good hotel. It is right next to the Western Express Highway metro station. The entrance opens into the lobby.....which doubles up as a breakfast area (came to understand this the next morning)....quite odd sitting at the front lobby and having breakfast with people walking in and out of the hotel....almost seemed like sitting at a cafe on the pavement. The breakfast buffet spread was limited and the items rather odd (who has pizza for breakfast?? maybe I am not informed enough....). No qualms about the amenities in the room, kept pretty clean and tidy, all functioning very well.....but the room was very small. There was a french window overlooking the metro station, which was not much of a use bacause of just that....you would find people from the metro platform gawking at you....so just kept the curtains drawn all the time. I found the location to be the only positive....that too if you are prepared to walk to your work location in the scorching summer heat....no rickshaw or cab for a 5-7 min walkable distance. Overall, I found this place to be way overrated, especially at this price point.

Major issue was hot water. With this class of hotel, I can at least imagine to get continuous hot water. Even after multiple reminders there was not hot water available in shower during late night or during late evenings. I was not impressed with attitude of person who is in charge of breakfast. You can serve your guest with smile or show attitude and serve the same food. It does not cost you to smile and serve food. Also the area around hotel gets really shady at late night. So with same price you may book any other actual three star hotel near to the airport. Only convenient part was that weh metro station is besides the hotel.

there was nothing to like about this hotel. It is a really bad location by a train station. Also, facility is very dirty and was very unsatisfied. Also checked out after one day. Did not even want to stay the night the first night. Write this zero.👎

The location is 10-15 min away from Bombay exhibition Center and thats the best. Surrounding area is not the best, heavy trafic direct in front of the entrance.

I like the staff behavior and cleanliness.
