The Ambassador, Marine Drive, Mumbai

We were hoisted by family relatives for marriage and booked this good hotel. Location is very superb. Welcome was nice, parking was easily available. Checkin process happened quickly. Rooms are good, Had some quick snacks, good taste. Evening was pleasant & stay was WIP SO HAPPY therefore writing before check in Will check out with sure planning to come again.

Awesome as in good location. Nice room and all our needs were met. Housekeeping, was the best!. Pity, the revolving Restraunt, was not operating. The buffet breakfast, has to have more selections or more variety. Otherwise, a definite do again.

Great location. Most iconic places and some top notch restaurants are within walking distance. Was here for 4 nights. The food was good but was out done by exemplary restaurants in the immediate neighborhood. Would recommend eating outside, which is what most folks already do. The hotel infrastructure is old. Rooms were clean but could be better. Some up keep is needed by the ***agement in terms of design, furniture, and crockery. Will stay here again.y

Had an wonderful stay especially my 10yr old. She has spent half the day playing in the 🛁 The rooms and well maintained and clean. The staff was very professional and friendly. Wish we could stay for a longer period but will definitely recommend this hotel to people who are looking out for accomodation in South Mumbai.

I have not enjoyed my stay at all. Though check in was smooth but the room was not upto the mark. Small buffet and when I called room service asking them to give me 2 plates and spoon, they replied saying "abhi hum busy hai, baadmein denge". I mean what audacity they have saying this to a customer. when I complained at the reception, the receptionist asked me "they did not deny giving you the plates and spoon." That's when I retaliated and said angrily "have I come here for this disrespect". Mukesh at the restaurant was very helpful.. He even sent me fruits and cookies for my baby. The only good thing about the hotel is it's location. But I am never ever choosing this property again.. I thought to let it go and not comment, but I have stayed at other properties too and have never ever experienced this kind of staff behaviour. #stayed on January 13, booked through cleartrip.. pic is of the bathroom.

This was our third visit to the amazing hotel. The staff sympathetically compliment this wonderfully appointed regal building. Whilst it is only to be expected to have high quality staff at 4 star hotels and I usually try not to dwell on this aspect, I have to take time out to just mention the genuinely warm service dispelled by all the staff we came into contact with. One point we experienced on this stay, worth a mention, is the room service menu. We had the Ambassador special (non veg) promptly served in the room and it was a tray consisting of few Indian dishes, all of which were the best we had tasted. (Being foodies, we have tasted a few!). Wish we had time to try rest of the dishes based upon this experience. Next time for sure.

All 4- and 5-star hotel host almost the same facilities. What makes a difference is their staff and overall levels of cleanliness. It has exceptionally warm, hospitable staff, who, under the overall guidance of Mr. ***vendra, go out of their way to make one's stay a pleasurable experience. Great location, excellent staff, well-maintained hotel, well-though menus. Stayed at The Ambassador from 21 Jan to 24 Jan 2024, and then again from 05 Feb to 08 Feb 2024. Planning to stay here again during further visits.

I have stayed in this Hotel numerous times and have satisfied with it. However the time I found the rooms quiet rundown and in need of renovations. The staff were very helpful and efficient as they had been in previous stays

I was very disappointed with the stay at Mumbai. We arrived at 1 p.m after a long flight overnight and the check-in process was very smooth. But the room was a bit dirty and then the problems started with hot water. A plumber arrived checked, fiddled and went. 2nd person came tested fiddled, made the bathroom all wet, left it like that and said it's fixed madam. Which I knew was not so I tested before jumping in the shower. Complained, to reception twice. By now it's 4 p.m. We have not eaten anything till then. Then we're told we are changing your room. Nothing happened and speaking to ***agers he said it be another 45 minutes as the hot water tank is empty as someone left a tap running. Will send hot water in a BUCKET so he did and i had a wash . This has to be the biggest joke of the century. But I gave them time, 5 p.m still no hot water. So asked for a refund and said are vacating the room. At which point the ***agers said OK let me see and will change room. So he showed me another room and said look water is hot now. So I said let me show you it's not in my room. So the whole party of 4 came to my room and tested, no hot water. Finally accepted issue in my room not tank. By now it's 6 p.m so 5 hrs after arrival he changed room which he could have done at 2 p.m. I have always stayed at Ambassador when visiting Mumbai but not anymore. I didn't prepay a high rate to have a wash in a bucket, which I can do in a cheap guest house . Lost a valued customer due to not understanding customer issues and requirements but most of all lying.
