Weinromantikhotel Richtershof

Our room was well appointed and spacious, and although it was not air conditioned and the days were very warm, the staff had made a real effort to keep the room dark and the fan running, which helped. The room was quiet, making for a good sleep. There are some very pleasant outdoor areas at this hotel. We loved being able to sit outside, with a drink in the attractive area on one side during the day or the evening, or at breakfast on the other side of the hotel adjacent to the lawn and garden in the morning. The staff were very helpful, and the breakfast appealing. The car parking is across the street, very convenient and easy to access. The small town it is located in was a great place to stay, and easy to walk around.

The hotel is not as good as it was. This was our 5th stay and we had booked 6 rooms with breakfast and 4 courses for dinner. -The guys at the front desk forgot how to smile. -We ordered cocktails at the bar, 2 similar cocktails were completely different, the Negroni was not good at all.... -The dinner experience shocked me... The staff were unprofessional and unpleasant. They asked us to make room on the table ourselves, didn't clear all the plates before arriving with the other course, didn't remove the empty aperitif glasses before desert and worst of all the waitress interrupted someone who was talking to present the plate she had just served by coughing outrageously, I've never seen a waitress so disrespectful and I've travelled a lot. On top of that, the plate was cold

The parking is across the road from the hotel. On arrival there was a sign in reception saying we are taking a break so wait until we return. The receptionist appeared in a couple of minutes and was very helpful, and subsequently we saw there was usually someone at reception so perhaps we were unlucky but it did not give the best first impression for a 4 star place. The hotel is nicely decorated. The room was average size, quiet, clean and comfortable but no fridge or tea/coffee making equipment, overall too expensive for what it was. The garden was pleasant though quite a bit of road noise. Dinner in the Culinarium restaurant was a bad experience. The food and wine was good but the delay and poor service were inexcusable. There did not seem to a manager and the staff did one thing at a time, e.g. they would bring a couple of dishes to a table then walk back to the counter without looking to see if other tables were ready to order, needed clearing or needed a drink, etc.. Sometimes all 3 staff would disappear, presumably to the kitchen, for several minutes. It took ages to get an aperitif, place our order, and even longer to receive the food. The wine list was extensive and included many local wines but the staff did not help the customers (no sommelier?). At one point a server taking dishes away dropped a knife on the floor, several staff walked passed it including the server who dropped it but only 5 minutes later was it noticed and picked up. The restaurant was about 60% full and most customers were getting upset with the service and delays. Finally one of the staff explained there was a problem with the system passing orders to the kitchen hence the delay in preparing dishes so we would need to be patient but would be offered a free drink. Surely a manager or the chef would have realised there was a problem and reacted sooner. Breakfast was buffet style but with a station to cook eggs to order. A good selection of food on the buffet, a nice setting in a glassed atrium, and there was a lady in charge who was friendly and efficient.

Wir haben erstmalig ein langes Wochenende im Richtershof verbracht und es in vollen Zügen genossen. Schön gelegen zwischen Mosel und Weinbergen, konnten wir direkt vom Hotel aus los wandern. Das Hotel bietet schöne Zimmer, insgesamt ein sehr schönes Ambiente, gutes Essen und vor allem einen sehr freundlichen Service. Wir waren rundherum sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder.

Das Haus ist einen Kurztrip wert. Für uns hat eigentlich alles gestimmt. Ambiente, Kulinarik und Service waren überdurchschnittlich gut. Unser Zimmer war geschmackvoll, die Kissen flauschig, einzig die limitierte Beinfreiheit auf der Toilette gilt es zu bemängeln. Das Frühstück bietet mit dem Flair des integrierten Wintergartens, der verwendeten Produkte und dem zuvorkommenden Servicepersonal einen gelungenen Start in den Tag. Auch das restliche Personal von der Rezeption, der Bar bis hin zum erstklassigen Restaurant möchte ich gesondert hervorheben. Herzlichen Dank für all die erfüllten Wünsche und Ihren verbindlichen Service ! Ein kleiner, aber nicht überfüllter Spabereich und kostenlose Parkplätze runden das empfehlenswerte Angebot ab.

Ein schöner Aufenthalt insgesamt mit einigen Mängeln. Das Abendessen (3 Gang) und Frühstück waren sehr gut, schönes Ambiente. Die Damen im Service beim Abendessen haben eine gewisse Hektik ausgestrahlt. Beim Frühstück perfekter Service. Unser Tischwunsch am 2. Abend wurde erfüllt, was wir zu schätzen wussten. Die Weinprobe im Weinkeller durch einen externen Winzer war toll. Ein no-go war das Badezimmer der Suite (für die man einen deutlichen Aufpreis bezahlt). Es gab nur eine Badewanne mit Duschabtrennung, die defekt und viel zu klein war. Dadurch stand nach jedem Duschen das gesamte ohnehin kleine Badezimmer unvermeidbar komplett unter Wasser. Das Wasser in Badewanne und Waschbecken lief nicht gut ab. Die Armaturen sind teils verrostet/verschlissen und entsprechen nicht dem 4 Sterne Superior Standard. Wellness Bereich: hier muss man 90 minütige Slots buchen, und am Anreisetag ist nichts mehr buchbar, da man am Vortag bis 18 gebucht haben muss. Dies ist unlogisch. Eine Sauna war defekt und die funktionierende sehr klein (3 Personen). Das Wasser in der Dusche lief nicht ab, unangenehmer Geruch. Unsere Beschwerde am 1. Tag hat man versucht, bei Abreise zu ignorieren. Kein angemessener Umgang damit für solch ein Hotel. Erst auf erneutes Drängen, was unangenehm war, kam man uns mit einem Nachlass entgegen. Insgesamt haben wir von dem Aufenthalt und Zimmer für ein 4 Sterne superior Hotel mehr erwartet.
