Novostar Nahrawess Hotel & Thalasso Resort

I won't lie, when I got here I was disappointed that half the hotel was closed, no pool bar, lots of things missing or translated badly. You do not have a mini bar, you put fridges in the rooms and there is no room service. Some of the photos shown on sites are of their sister site, no pool slides or any kids stuff going on, it was a bit of a boring activities schedule, but the animation team were the BOMB! Shout out to the following people: Heny - the best excursions rep in Hammamet, if you want to go and do some quad biking, camel riding, boat trips etc, he is your guy! Panda, Tchichou, Eya and Sam - thank you for being THE MOST friendly and entertaining people. We hope to see you again, you'd be hard-pressed to get a better team! The food was ok, some repeats but it's an all-inclusive, something for everyone, especially fussy eaters. The waiters and chefs are good peeps. Sit in the section that Hammadee does for Breakfast and Lunch and you will be treated like Royalty! He should be teaching the wait staff how to do it. He was amazing. Short walk to the sea salt pool which was amazing, beach front lovely, you can get soft drinks only and no food is available as said, but it's a very short walk, 3 minutes from the hotel grounds if that. Well-positioned in Hammamet and not too far from anything. What people fail to remember here is that this is a hotel that closed during COVID and was closed down for 3 years, they are open for their first season this year and they are doing lots of work in the blocks that are closed and around the site, please bear this in mind! Don't forget to TIP your staff, no it's not needed but they all appreciate it as Tunisian wages are awful. We have booked to go back, as despite some issues the staff made it worthwhile and I mean absolutely everyone.

We were transferred to this hotel for one night due to flight disruptions by ATC France. I think if I'd arrived at this hotel for a full holiday I'd be asking to be moved. It was dated and tired. The poor reception guy tried his best, but his English wasn't good. We got given a key to our room, but there was a guy already stripping off when we opened door. Eventually got our room sorted. The bathroom was dirty and the bed coverings had marks on them. There was only one outlet to charge our phones. Very grateful they laid food on for us, but it wasn't inspiring. We all had to leave early back to airport and were shown to dining room. Head waiter was clearly not happy that we were in there, so we left without eating. I feel bad writing a not so glowing review and my opinions are probably based on the fact that we were basically shoved here, but it's not a place I would ever chose to go. Not sure how it's a 4*, we had just left One Resort Premium and that was a 4* and was head and shoulders above this hotel.

The staff were lovely all very happy all the time. The entertainment was great to watch they were very interactive. The pool was good fun as well. Drinks were nice

Was put here overnight as flight was cancelled, worst hotel I've stayed in. Very dirty, and food was disgusting. Would definitely not pay any money to stay here.

...I have different parameters for judging a hotel than many people. I don't expect to live like the queen of Saaba and have everyone serve me. Yet I felt that way at times in Nahrawess. Spacious, smartly and tastefully planned area, cleanliness, nice and friendly people, tasty and varied food, high-level service. If I could improve anything, then I would recommend the hot water pressure on the upper floors and the need to repair the door locks on the outdoor toilets. A great vacation for me. Thank you P.S. Ok this is as honest as I can be about this hotel If this is far from a 4 star hotel , I would say 2 star at best The rooms are old , tired and not even clean , the grounds look derelict and are miles from anything , closest shops are 30km away Very hot with poor aircon The food, well if that’s what they call it is terrible. Honestly terrible We asked for water as none was provided in the rooms and were told we were k my allowed 1 small bottle each and could only get another 1 hour later. The staff seemed unhappy and not willing to socialise with guests. Apart from the life guards who were very nice. Don’t know what else to say other than risk it if you wish but think twice before you do
