Vichy Thermalia Spa Hôtel

Everyone comes to Moulay Yacoub for the thermal experience but the experience in the Vichy hotel is very good. We have been welcomed by the Front office Manager Soufiane who was very kind and professional. We had dinner and lunch on top of the breakfast and the food was delicious. Chef Jad makes very good food. The room was comfortable and the spa is unique with many options by Vichy and sulfur water treatment. I recommend this hotel

It's been two years since I was at Thermalia. My Yacoub at this time, the hotel was Waw. When I returned a week ago the hotel had deteriorated a lot. We can clearly see that there is a great lack of maintenance already as we note the products like shampoo and shower gel we not find them more they are replaced by a cheap product, the towels and the bathrobes have become very old they have not been changed for a long time. As for the thermal pool, the water fountains are all out of service. We no longer find fresh water, it's tap water with a dirty taste of bleach. The carpets in the rooms are very dirty. The refrigerator was out of order and the breakfast menu was very poor. It was much better two years ago .

Undoubtedly, the hotel is both beautifully positioned and beautifully designed. The food is of a high standard (and they were very accommodating of our vegan and gluten-free requests). However, there is one BIG let-down to this so-called thermal hotel...you cannot just go and bathe in the thermal waters as a guest! Indeed, we were told it would cost us €20 per person per hour to enjoy the thermal waters, which is both mean-spirited and ridiculously over-priced. We have stayed in thermal hotels all over the world, and (to date) this is the first and only experience we have had where the actual thermal facilities were not freely available to guests. So, we wandered up the road about 200 metres and enjoyed the same thermal waters in the village's own public thermal facility for a couple of Euros, and enjoyed friendly chats with the local people. A far richer experience than over-priced exclusivity!

Room was spacious. Lights flickering. Shabby finishes. Shower drain blocked with hair. One clothes hanger available in cupboard, requested more from reception and still waiting. Restaurant area looked like a hostel dining room and service extremely slow. Drinks prohibitively expensive. Staff do not communicate in English at all, and thus are aloof if not unfriendly. Gym has no aircon, towels or water. Swimming pool was lovely. Modern but shabby and no atmosphere. Weird spa experience, huge communication problem and unwelcoming.

We have spent one night at the Vichy Moulay Yacoub hotel, 20 km from the town of Fes, Morocco. Very modern and relaxing hotel design, perfect service and very professional staff. Our room had a very comfy bed, a smart TV and a balcony with a view on the hill. All booking and assistance made by excellent sales agent Najla, her attention to details and reactivity were outstanding. The swimming pool is accessible directly from your hotel room (bathrobe and slippers provided, but I suggest you bring your own plastic slippers) from 9 am to 6h30 pm. Entrance fee is 200 MAD pp per entrance. The water is over 40 degrees Celsius and have a very strong sulfur odour ( it's forbidden for minors, and people with serious health conditions). Sulfur waters are known for healing rheumatoid, ORL and dermatologic conditions. We had several 5 minutes baths and also visited the vaporarium. All the complex is super clean and well maintained despite the sulfur waters damage. The hotel restaurant is nice, food is OK. Special mention for the chicken 'satay' with white rice and chocolate lava cake. Restaurant staff are very welcoming. Breakfast buffet is OK, would have expected a little more Moroccan food. Overall an excellent stay, relaxing and rejuvenating. Can't wait to return

When you pay 60 euros for 50min massage you expect basics of a quality massage. Allow me to describe my experience at your facility. First of all, the reservation didn’t accept my appointment over the phone. They wanted me to come phisically and pay in advance or make a wire transfer to block a time. After few minutes over the phone, I managed to get my appointment. And the experience starts… First- basic information before you get massaged: no one asked me what kind of massage I want. No form is filled. They didn’t ask if I have any injuries or what area I need to focus on. Second - They took me straight to the massage room. Normally you get to change into a robe. No! I walked straight to my massage room where my therapist asked me to take off my clothes and lay on the massage table. ( I slippers were provided) She came 8 minutes later, no knocking… and started to massage me. She didn’t say what kind of oil she is using, she never asked if I’m ok with the pressure. Third- massage time. I paid for 50 minutes massage. I got 39 minutes. She started at 3:41 pm and ended at 4:20 exactly. The massage quality was 3/5. She barley focused on my back (which is the most important part) and if I didn’t insiste she wouldn’t focus on my neck as well. (Thank god I did) Forth- after my massage- she asked me if I wanted to shower. She showed disappointment when I said yes! And finally she gave slippers and a robe. The Shower was in the massage room itself. There was no shower gel. I only washed with warm water. Again! She entered without knocking when I was getting dressed. ( I was almost done getting dressed). Generally, the massage was not good experience. I paid 60 euros for literally nothing. Never again! Thank you Wafae 😊
