Hotel La Casona is key here. La Casona means house, better said, it means a "big house" and that it what it is. A detached house with a tiled roof, surrounded by a veranda and garden, supported by ornate pillars and sheltered by wrought iron gates.
The small, charming and intimate hotel offers not only housing; it is a home as well for nature lovers, anglers and curious and adventurous travelers, going off the beaten track.
Still located within the urban area of the provincial town of Morón, one can visit from here the wetlands and organize fish trips and boat (or kayak) expeditions to this beautiful mangrove ecosystem. When returning a little breezy and rosy to La Casona, just sit down at the table in the restaurant, maybe have a drink at the bar and bed down in one of the 7 guestrooms.
When morning has broken, after breakfast, drive at ease to Cayo Coco (or Cayo Guillermo).

Estuvimos 2 noches en este lugar increíble, tranquilo y muy bonito. Las habitaciones son amplias y muy bien amuebladas con un estilo colonial. Pudimos disfrutar de las áreas de jardines muy bien cuidados y limpios, así como de la piscina que aunque pequeña, brinda oportunidad para relajarse y refrescar un rato, con muchas áreas de sombra y tumbonas. Qué decir de los mangos que caen de los árboles y que son tan dulces y carnosos que no necesitas nada más!!! Quiero hacer un reconocimiento especial a la buena atención del personal, todos sin excepción, y es lo que más nos impactó de este bello lugar. Sobre todo la recepcionista, Sisley, quien te contacta antes de tu llegada para adelantar el cheking, tratando que estés lo mas cómoda posible y siempre presta a ayudar. No por último menos importante.... felicitar de todo corazón al cheff, Boris, ya que su comida es fabulosa y servida de manera generosa y MB presentada. Gracias por tu esmero y esfuerzo, sinceramente nos hiciste sentir super bien. Y el desayuno.....de los mejores que hemos tenido en un hotel de Islazul. Sigan trabajando duro y esforzándose. En serio borran con su cariño y naturalidad cualquier situación que esté viviendo nuestra pequeña isla. Pueden estar seguros que nos volveremos a ver. Hemos quedado enamorados de La Casona. Gracias por todo.

Solo estuve una noche, es un acogedor lugar con buena atención, pero las habitaciones necesitan mantenimiento. La gastronomía es pobre. Sus trabajadores son muy atentos y el lugar es bonito. Tiene una piscina pequeña.
