The White Hart Hotel is a traditional old posting house situated in the town of Moretonhampstead and set within the picturesque Dartmoor National park. Guests can relax by the roaring log fire in the lounge and take advantage of the free Wi-Fi. This Grade II listed building dates back to 1639 and has a complimentary blend of traditional elements and contemporary style. All rooms are equipped with an en suite bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities, flat-screen TVs and CD players. Please can you pass on our thanks to all your staff for another wonderful stay - this is our fourth stay at The White Hart and indeed the very best; fantastic service from every member of staff during a very busy time, especially from Liv and Julie and nice to see a hands on manager in charge! Delicious food on both nights and brilliant breakfasts too. The improvements that the new owners have made to The White Hart into another league and we very much look forward to our next visit, number 5!!!

Stayed for the first time in this excellent hotel, we will most certainly return. Superbly and tastefully renovated recently, this hotel is a real gem with great character. Splendid welcome, relaxed ambiance, really friendly staff, clean comfortable bedrooms, and a superb breakfast in the morning. The lounge area is cosy, well-appointed with a roaring open fire. The bar is also very welcoming with real ale available. We had dinner in the lounge which was enjoyed by all three of us. Good food and reasonably priced. The bedroom and ensuite were super clean with SkyTV and even a phone to make free UK calls. Wifi is fast and stable. This hotel is run by such lovely people who make you feel at home. Well done to all working there for making our stay so enjoyable.

What a perfect few days the white hart is amazing a good 4 star standard. We got an amazing deal with breakfast.ROSA FREYA & JAMIE were superstars and made are stay extra special. We had dinner also I had the mixed grill and it was cooked perfectly and top quality meats. Thank you for a wonderful few nights we will be back soon 👍🍷🍽😍

We were recently concerned to learn that this very good pub with accommodation had closed. Absolutely delighted however it has returned. Used for the third time as a B and B base. Please see my full review in the "restaurant" section of today's date, TripAdvisor Torbayaotearoa. 🇬🇧🇳🇿

Good price good food and one thing I must mention is that they have Sky tv in all the bedrooms, that`s a first for me. The staff were spot on and both the breakfast and evening meal were something to die for and served quickly. I have never bothered to write a review before but I felt I must.

Really enjoyed my stay and loved the decor theme throughout the pub lounge, restaurant and room. A very relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff, The room was ensuite, a good size with all facilities kettle tea etc (plus tasty home made biscuits waiting in the room). The bed was comfy with good sized pillows and a comfy mattress with cushions for extra comfort. Good lighting and Sky TV. Lovely breakfast with selection of pastries, toast, porridge and cooked breakfast, tea and coffee. I would recommend the White Hart for staying and dining.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our 5-day stay at The White Hart Hotel in Moretonhampstead. The staff were really welcoming on our arrival, and helped us carry our luggage to our room. Our room was really cosy, with tea/coffee and homemade shortbread readily available. We also ate inside the hotel during evenings on a couple of occasions, and really enjoyed the food. The vegetables were fresh and locally sourced, which we were happy with. Breakfast was also lovely, with fresh pastries and yoghurts available. The only slight issue we had during our stay, was the noise of the road at night. The traffic was quite loud at night and early in the morning, but other than that, we had a terrific stay. We would definitely recommend The White Hart Hotel for visitors to Dartmoor, and we would definitely return.

Six of us were playing Bovey Castle Golf Course the following day so we spent the previous night at this wonderful establishment. The staff were superb, the food was lovely and the overall feel of the Hotel whether it be the rooms or the bar decor, just lovely and relaxing, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was superb and the female member of staff went above and beyond. We can’t rate the place highly enough, you won’t be disappointed……

Had a brilliant Sunday Roast, served by a very pleasant, attentive waitress. The decor was very crisp, clean on trend, yet in keeping with the age of the building., The food was quality of ingredients and presentation, at such a great price; our previous day's pub lunch scami and chips was the same price, zero content, zero ambience, zero service. Stunning value can't rate highly enough.
