Delfinia Hotel

The hotel was very clean and any problems we had were rectified immediately. We have had a lovely week at Delfinia although the TUI representation in the hotel was sadly lacking. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The Hotel is set in a quiet position on the beach. BEWARE remember to pack your mosquito repellent. The mozzies are very active. I feel that the Hotel is not suitable for teenagers and largely caters for older travellers. I would fully recommend the Delfinia if you are in that category.

This was a TUI excursion from London, admittedly it was well priced for 7 days at around £500pp. We were shown to our room overlooking a staff car park and a noisy generator. Immediately, we chose to upgrade the room to a “Superior” for €175 in total. Everything on-site is terribly expensive. My thinking is, it doesn’t incentivize people to buy drinks and food at the hotel. Our package included breakfast and dinner (half board). The supermarket at the top of the street is your best friend. The cost of drinks is very pricey, a double spirit and mixer is about €9.50 and a frappé coffee €4.50. Just to give you an idea.

We booked a superior double room with sea on a half board basis view via Tui and couldn't have been happier. The view from the second floor was just lovely from morning to night. We went from 22-29 May and lucked out with the weather and also not being a school holiday yet with a very quiet and relaxing break. Guests from mostly Germany, Austria and the UK, super friendly staff speaking perfect English and German all round. The beach is on the doorstep, fine pebble sand, a few larger pebbles as you enter the sea but then super clear sea with smooth sand. We brought our own towels and always got a nice spot with shade by the pool. The gardens are lovely with a large variety of shrubs, flowers, plants and trees. I loved the buffet style breakfast and dinner options which provided everything I needed for my high protein/fibre diet in abundance although I was also tempted by the lovely Greek pastries. Partner is a carnivor and was happy to get a taste from a variety of Greek meat and vegetable dishes. Everything was fresh and plenty to chose from. Beach bar was slightly more expensive than tavernas up the street but happy to pay given the lovely view. There was some music entertainment on some nights but not our style, it finished early enough and didn't bother us hearing it in our room. There's not much else going on in the resort, on the other side of the promenade is a large family led complex with some more beach bars (albeit my idea of hell). Bus stop to Corfu town is 3 minutes from the hotel, about 40 minutes, €2.20 each way. Excellent free WiFi everywhere including by the pool and on the beach. I would happily go back to the Delfinia

The hotel is set in beautiful lush and well kept grounds, not too big either which made for a more friendly stay. On arrival we checked in by friendly, informative staff and were given our keys. The room was on the 2nd floor with a huge balcony and views of the gardens, pool and out to sea. The rooms was nicely decorated with comfortable beds, lovely modern bathroom and a fridge. It was the end of season so very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast and dinner were included in our package in a bright and airy restaurant with generally friendly waiting staff. The food was maybe a little disappointing for a 4* star hotel as it was very salty and quite samey. I have certainly had a better selection elsewhere over the years. The pool area is well maintained and the beach is just a few steps away with straw umbrellas and sunbeds. If you love cats this is the place for you as they roam freely around the resort and are very friendly and well cared for. They joined us round the pool, taking shade under the sunbeds. There is a lovely board walk along the beach leading to bars and restaurants but we were disappointed to find that most had closed for the season along with most of the bars and restaurants in the village. Be prepared for this if choosing an October holiday. The hotel bar was nice with plenty of seating and deck chairs on the grass area looking out to sea. It was quite pricey and the bartenders, although efficient, were not particularly friendly. We found the Albatross Hotel beach bar along the sea front more jolly with lively staff and drinks were reasonable. All in all, we had a great Autumn break. The weather can be changeable but the temperature was always around 25 degs. When it rained at least it was warm rain, they were short sharp showers and then the sun came out. Delfinia Hotel we would recommend!!

Absolutely fantastic.stay near end of season.spotless clean rooms and grounds,well appointed room with A/C and fridge in room,helpful and very friendly staff,great food,couldn’t be closer to the beach,they arranged car hire to the hotel, we loved the cats in the grounds and kept them fed on cold meat from the nearby shop.To be honest it couldn’t be faulted aside from cheaper drinks but supermarket at end of short drive way and only a 5 min walk to many bars and cafes..we had a €40 lunch for four with gyros wine and beer one lunchtime.would definitely recommended a stay here.

Hotel spotless and gardens well kept. Food very average for a 4 star hotel. Drinks prices very much higher than other places in the are. Entertainment when on pretty average. If booking try and get the newer blocks.

Waited 2 years for this holiday, on arrival we didn't get a smile, hello or welcome from the girl on the front desk she just talked non stop to the other girl on the desk got there at 12pm waited 3 hours for our room, when we got it it was the wrong room so had to wait again to be moved to the room we had paid for. it's very clean the cleaners work non stop very friendly always smiling and saying hello not the same we could say for the restaurant or bar staff( apart from the 2 men waiters and Alexander) they are rude and moody We would say good morning or evening and smile we Never got one back, it seemed as they didn't really want us there. Pool area is lovely but could do with a sweep each day, not just a water down every couple of days VERY expensive bar €17 for a beer and vodka and tonic, where outside is about€9 and more friendly When walking outside be carful as there is hardly any pavment to walk on and cars drive very fast, we walked along the beach to bars in the evening, decking very uneven and you will need a torch as there is hardly any lighting, also very dark on the driveway into the hotel Hotel Massage was amazing from Maria wanted to take her home. Corfu Town was lovely and really friendly staff everywhere you went. The supermarket at end of driveway is lovely man who will give you any info you need about the area On the day we left I return our door card to the same young girl on the desk, she took it off me didn't say thank you safe journey or anything It's the first time we have been somewhere and would never return, which is a shame

Nice clean ground floor room with garden veiw cleaned to a high standard Large reception area with comfy chairs Lovely garden area amazing pool plenty of sun loungers. Nice restaurant good food quality and choice freindly polite attentive staff , Taverna and garden bar provide the same customer service . Good evening entertainment easy listening at a moderate volume . Stony beach enters sandy bottom safe shallow ocean. Cons Somewhat isolated from rest of Corfu Bus service could be better . Walk along deck promenade towards Messalongi provides plenty of bars and tavernas also leading to water sports . Few Mosquitos to worry about . Cons ; watch out for Wasps in the grass go barefoot at risk. Increasing population of feral Cats needs addressing a pest at lunch in the Taverna. Meals and drinks expensive, no more than outside along promenade. A distance walk uphill into the village for cheaper meals and refreshment. Somewhat isolated location deep pockets needed to explore Corfu.

The hotel was set in beautiful grounds and gardens right on the beach. I stayed for a week with my adult daughter and we had a very relaxing time staying in a twin bed room in the block where the restaurant was situated. The 2 other blocks looked more modern and I did manage to look inside one of their double rooms to find I preferred the room we had far more except for our mattress. Our twin beds were hard as rock and we suffered awful back and neck ache the entire stay. I noted the mattresses in the newer block were memory foam which they ought to provide in all rooms if you ask me. Thank God for the lovely SPA lady who sorted my aches out who I highly recommend for a massage. The other guests seemed to be of retirement age upwards with few younger guests whilst we were there. The hotel had a very nice bar area with plenty of space and a taverna restaurant both very nice to sit watching the sea from. Just a short walk along the beach were lots of other bars and eateries which were all cheaper than the hotel. The hotel restaurant was clean and tidy and we had no issue finding foods to eat each night. Staff were always helpful and friendly during our stay. Beach was great and the water very clear and shallow with a sandy bottom and you could wade out a long way. The pool was clean, tidy and well maintained but there seemed to be a lot of people getting up early to lay their towels on beds which was a little annoying. Sun loungers were also free and available to sit within the olive trees and on the beach area. I liked this very much as plenty of choice as to where you could decide to sunbathe. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel with buses to Corfu town about 50 mins away and a shop opposite which I found to be cheap and not overpriced as one normally finds near to the beach.
