The Falls Montville

Our 4 night stay at The Falls Montville was just what we needed. We were warmly welcomed by the hosts, Alan and Aryna, and were treated to chocolates and port on arrival to our cottage, setting the tone for a relaxing escape. Locally sourced goodies for breakfast with freshly baked danishes and croissants made each morning feel special. Alan and Aryna were incredibly accommodating and thoughtful, ensuring we had everything we needed, including daily deliveries of red gum for the cast iron fireplace. The cottage itself was spotless, charming, and nestled in a stunning rainforest setting - perfect for unwinding. A truly memorable experience from start to finish.

Our second stay at The Falls, we were in the lovely Tamarind Cottage. Sitting high in the trees, it was perfect for watching all the different birds flitter about. The best set up for our 3 night stay with generous breakfast offerings, French bubbles and the comfiest and warmest robes ever! Hubby had a blast tending to the cast iron fire place which kept us toasty all day and night. The spa bath overlooking the forest was the ultimate post massage soak spot with a wine in hand. As always Alan and Aryna were the hosts with the most, ensuring we had everything we needed with some unforgettable conversations.

From the gorgeous fire place, to the magnificent relaxing spa, the comfortable bed and fantastic breakfast. I live in the area but thought myself and my husband would try something different and so pleased we did. The fantastic service from the lovely hosts, Alan and his lovely wife, we could not feel more welcomed or more valued. We would highly recommend and we will certainly be back very soon. Perfect for the romantic getaway or just to get away and relax, the lovely Kondilla Falls are nearby for a lovely bush walk or swim. Thanks so much for a lovely getaway.

What a wonderful place. The hosts are amazing, helpful, friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation is top notch - fully equipped and beautifully clean. Everything we needed to make the most of our stay was there. A breakfast basket was delivered every afternoon ready for the next morning - the provisions were exceptionally generous and the fresh baked bread and Danishes were to die for. Make sure to treat yourself and order a BBQ pack - the quality is great and varied. Home made salad, potatoe bake and the most delicious stuffed mushrooms just topped it off. The location is perfect. Even though close to town, it was quiet and you felt like you were in the middle of the rainforrest all by yourself.

Upon arriving at The Falls Monteville, we were escorted down a lovely path through the woods teeming with indigenous wild birds singing to us as we walked along. When we entered our cottage, it was exactly as described in both the photos and previous reviews. Our hosts, Allan and Areana, were absolutely delightful. Allen was incredibly helpful with logistical issues and a wonderful resource of local knowledge. Areana made sure that we never went a moment without the things we needed in our room, including but not limited to breakfast items. Every morning at precisely 0815, Allan showed up with locally made fresh pastries, dropped just outside the door with a quiet tap to let us know he was there without disturbing our sleep. If you are looking for a sterile room with no soul, go elsewhere, but if you are looking for a warm place to call home whilst thousands of miles away, rich in history and charm, where you will feel immediately like family, the Falls is the place for you. Due to a miscalculation on my part, we would have likely missed our flight home were it not for Allan who got up at 0400 in the morning to make sure we made it to our shuttle, good luck getting service like that anywhere else and not only that but with excelent humor and good taste at all times. Whether you are planning a romantic holiday for two or planning a family event for ten, the falls can easily accommodate your needs in lovely Montville. Cheers, Micah and Micayla
