Boxotel Montreal

Petit bijou sur Ontario! J’ai été épatée par la propreté, le confort et le calme qui y régnait. C’est un peu étrange de faire son check in et check out en ligne, mais je pense que ça doit réduire les coûts du personnel pour pouvoir investir ailleurs. 500 mètres de marche des Foufounes électriques et aucun problème pour revenir à pieds la nuit. Café gratuit dans le lobby est un plus, ainsi que la belle tourterelle qui nous faisait des bonjours.

Boxotel exceeded my expectations. The amenities like a yoga mat in room, gorgeous dishes, charging pod, makeup remover and cloth and welcome note made it feel like every detail for optimal comfort were considered. I was impressed with the ecofriendly touches. The roof terrace, steam bath, sauna were amazing and they gym was gorgeous.

The property is entirety automated, check in, room, all of it. There was no difficulty in checking in. The premise is well maintained and very clean. The rooms are very unique as well and the layout takes excellent advantage of the space. That being said, we did have some issues. 1) There is no washroom privacy. The bathroom is seperated from the bedroom by a glass wall with a very limited frosted design that does nothing of note in terms of obscuring your bathroom rituals. Hope you and your guest have a solid relationship. Time to take it to the 'we've seen each other poop ' level. A curtain would help. 2) Big brother is always watching. When we checked in we had friends with us (the plan was to check in, use the washroom and then head to the show). We understand the stated rules on amenities for the hot tub and a few other things are for paying guest, but i couldnt find anything forbidding a brief stop in with friends. Within 10 minutes we recieved emails, texts and finally a phone call reminding us that we had only booked our room for 2 guest. It was jarring since we didnt see any one, and then begun to wonder amongst the group how much of the area and rooms are being recorded. Highly disconcerting. 3) We both slept pretty terribly. Maybe it was the pillows, the matress or the now worrying fear that Brother Eye is always watching (for the record we did not see any cameras in the rooms, the earlier experience was just odd). Good price and is clean.

The room was amazing. The staff were so friendly. There was a power outage in the area unfortunately but staff were there to assist. Would definitely go back !

Excellent experience here. Not your usual hotel stay, but more like renting a little apartment. Perfect if you like to cook or reheat food when you travel. The staff was all very friendly, and a sweet rescue mourning dove is even in the lobby to greet you. Didn't ever quite figure out all the lights, but we made it work.

WORD needs to get out....but am afraid that it will and I will not be able to book a return stay at Boxotel. The reason is Boxotel is just PERFECT in all the ways- comfort! cleanliness! super welcoming staff! the location! and all the amenities! My only one regret is that I did not stay longer at Boxotel. My gratitude to Carlos and the staff at Boxotel.

Had to be very careful with the shower spray or you flood the entire bathroom. Floor not sloped well to the drain. Washroom fan very loud. Otherwise a great stay and ideal location. Free coffee and snacks very clean and friendly staff. Would stay again.

Beautiful rooms, amenities, service, and overall experience. We would definitely stay again.

Probably my favorite hotel I’ve stayed at so far. It’s very modern and quiet, the staff are very friendly and hospitable and the rooms were impeccably clean. The hotel has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. I’d recommend staying here in a heartbeat for anyone wanting to visit Montreal.
